Today's poetic form is the "Gogyohka". It was developed by Enta Kusakabe -a Japanese writer- and it is based on the ancient Japanese forms: Tanka and Kodai kayo. Unlike the aforementioned, the Gogyohka -which means "five lines"- has no theme, syllable, or length restraints (when it comes to each line). Just five poetic lines to complete a Gogyohka!
