not a doll-house polished life,
not a white picket fence with grass greener than the other side
not the type to alter the flawed truth,
not even tell a saving lie,
not a decorated front with wounds festering on the inside,

but they certainly make up for the artifice they lack
with an unlimited supply of unconditional support and love,
with happiness always being their main goal,
perfection discarded like a silly nuisance
replaced by laughter echoing through their soul.
