Honestly, Y/N wasn't worried about the stray magicians who had been discarded by the Mephisto Pheles' Mage Association. After defeating a dragon, a gorgon, and many other dangerous creatures, facing normal humans was like drinking a glass of water.

Even so, Y/N was not arrogant. He did not consider himself invincible. Excluding Y/N Alter there could be a lot of powerful opponents out there ready to challenge and kill him. That's why he had to become stronger.

Y/N observed the six holy swords Michael had given him:

Excalibur Destruction, also known as the Holy Sword of Destruction, could unleash a wave of pure destructive power that could shatter anything that comes into contact with it.

Excalibur Mimic, also known as the Holy sword of Mimicry, possessed the ability to transform into any shape as its wielder's desires.

Excalibur Rapidly, also known as the Holy sword of the Heavenly Flare, is a sword that grants both the wielder and the blade enhanced speed.

Excalibur Nightmare, also known as the Holy Sword of Dreams, is a sword that allows the wielder to cast illusions and manipulate dreams.

Excalibur Transparency, also known as the Holy Sword of Transparency, is a sword that allows the blade and its owner to become invisible.

Excalibur Blessing, also known as the Holy Sword of Blessing, is a sword that refers to one's faith in the teaching of religion, and it has been said that it primarily shows its effects when used during rituals.

No matter how much he tried to find merit, those swords had no right to be named as Excalibur. Although they possessed unique abilities, they did not contain the concept of "Promised Victory". It was not a Last Phantasm, forged by the planet as the crystallization of humanity's desires stored and tempered within the planet. It was a holy sword whose power was rivalled by both Gram and Durandal.

But a nostalgic smile spread across the face of Y/N. Even knowing this it was thanks to those swords that it all began. Excalibur's accident allowed him to meet Xenovia and Irina, it allowed him to meet Tamamo and Mordred again, and it allowed him to make friends.

So he had to find a way to make those swords useful, but that was the real problem. Forging Excalibur again was impossible. First, he did not possess the last fragment that was owned by Arthur Pendragon, Le Fay's older brother. And even if he possessed it and forged that sword, it would take too long to make it the sword he wanted. Since Avalon had absorbed the Excalibur's holy energy, the opposite could have happened. He could make it absorb the sheath's energy to compensate for the lack that the Biblical God had failed to give it. But it would have taken too long, and he didn't have that luxury.

At the time, the most viable solution that Y/N had been able to think of was to use his magecraft to remove imperfections and make them decent swords, of those that would not break at first contact as had happened in the clash with the Kiba's Sword of Betrayer.

However, he would have thought about that later. Y/N put the swords on one side and took the Heroic Pieces. He still had the Queen, both Rooks, a knight and six Pawns. Honestly, those were probably the most important magic tool he possess. He made an exception with Xenovia and Kuroka because they gave him some good reasons besides the fact that they had nothing left to lose.
