Not so long had passed since the defeat of Vortigern, but his tyranny already seemed a distant past. It took the Britons little time to forget him and move on, beginning the Age of King Arthur. Of course, the Saxons still tormented Britain and its inhabitants, but much less than before.

"Don't you think that's a little unfair?" Mordred grumbled, frowning. "It seems that the victory was obtained just by Arthur even though he was useless."

As Y/N expected, all credit was given to King Arthur and the men who had followed him into battle. Vortigern's death itself was attributed to King Arthur. But the people of Londinium knew what had happened and knew that Y/N and Mordred had guaranteed their safety.

"To think that you will bring this place down in ten years," Y/N said.

Just as in his world, Merlin had created Arthur's Castle on the ruins of the former Roman fortress in a single night and the town had changed its name to Camelot. Even the houses outside the walls that protected the marble castle had been rebuilt and embellished.

"She got what she deserved for not giving me the throne," Mordred justified herself, then putting Y/N's back, "But you know, it doesn't matter."

Y/N raised a doubtful eyebrow. It may not have mattered to her, but her actions had ruined the way of life of the people of Camelot.

"This is it, isn't it?" Mordred asked quietly.

Y/N nodded. The people had been talking about the Knights of the Round Table, the new order of knights that Arthur had formed immediately after the battle. At the time, according to what they had discovered, Kay and Bedivere had joined the order.

"They don't give up at all," Mordred said annoyed. "This time you have to make sure he understands you well."

"I don't think Arthur had something to do with it," Yuto said as he unrolled the scroll and quickly read the message. "I think it was Merlin's idea."

He didn't know the reason, but Y/N had the damned feeling he had to be aware of the court magician. It was since Merlin had tried to play strange mind games with him that his instincts told him to be careful. That's why he's been trying to stay as far away from Camelot as possible for the past months.

"Anyway, let's hear what they want first," Y/N said as he delivered the letter to one of the guards.

Soon they were escorted inside the castle to the throne room.

Y/N blinked confused as he saw all the Knights of the Round Table and King Arthur himself sitting around a round wooden table. Some seats, including the Perilous Seat, were empty as usual.

"I thought I had already refused your invitation to enter your order," Y/N said, suspiciously narrowing his gaze to Merlin.

"And that was true of me, too," Mordred said as she crossed her arms to her chest

Y/N was not very well regarded among the Knights of the Round Table and the nobles because of his boldness towards King Arthur. But on the contrary, he was the person who most respected him because many nobles and knights were only opportunists who would change their position in favour of a more advantageous one.

"I have a favour to ask you," Arthur said. "I need you to escort a certain person here."

Merlin approached Y/N and delivered another scroll.

"Let's see," he muttered as he opened it.

Y/N jumped slightly as he read the content. He passed it to Mordred, who read it.

"What you're asking is risky," Mordred said, her expression was damned serious. "If this information leaks, we may be targeted by enemies."

"Not only by the Saxons but also your enemies," Y/N said, staring at King Arthur.
