In his blind attempt to save others, Y/N did not realize that he was disappointing the people closest to him. He ignored their feelings. No. He never understood them in the first place. Even when he reincarnated Xenovia and Kuroka, he only did because they insisted.

And he didn't even understand Mordred's intentions. She was with him when he found out what the future would hold for him and found it odd that his sister asked him to use a heroic piece on her to gain power.

Despite all of Mordred's flaws, she was not the type of person who desired power through facilitations. According to her, power was something that had to be gained through the hard training, pouring sweat and blood. This way of thinking was something Y/N shared.

What he had missed so far, he now understood. The reason why he had not noticed before this was not behind a simple slowness or behind his distrust towards neighbour. It was distrust in himself that would eventually bring him to ruin.

Now that he had understood his mistakes, he had finally understood the meaning of his life. Although he would eventually become Archer, it did not mean that he would eventually become like him. He was Y/N Pendragon and no one else.

These reflections and the answers he had obtained were poured into Unlimited Blade Works: infinite creation of swords. Y/N's inner world.

A Reality Marble that presented itself as a land that seemed to have no boundaries. A silent world, whose inhabitants were weapons stabbed to the ground, remembering the gravestones of a cemetery.

"What do you hope to gain with this?" Y/N Alter frowned, "you just showed what kind of weapon you are because that's what you are... a living weapon."

Y/N didn't care that everyone saw it. He was never interested in what others thought of him as long as he continued to save everyone's lives.

For the deities of the various pantheons and the biblical faction itself was something comparable to the authority of a God of War. The weapons contained within that world had a power that could far exceed the power of the weapons possessed by the various warrior gods.

They were Noble Phantasms, crystallized legends of human history. Legendary weapons that belonged to heroes of different ages and mythologies.

"It took me a while to figure it out, but in the end I realized why you're here," Y/N had finally understood who his enemy was and what their ultimate goal was, "your goal was not to kill the deities of the various Pantheons nor me."

No one understood the words of Y/N. If after killing, incinerating, and petrifying a large number of deities, that was not their goal, then what was it?

"Killing gods and unleashing chaos was just a secondary target," Y/N said while observing Jeanne D'Arc Alter and then Gorgon, "Merlin was your target from the beginning."

Everyone looked at the Magus of Flowers.

"At first, I didn't understand why you suggested I take Merlin out of his tower in Avalon," Y/N was sure his evil counterpart wouldn't take any advantage of the presence of an individual like the Magus of the Flowers, so there had to be another reason, "but then I remembered what he's capable of, and I realized he's been hindering you for a long time now."

Artoria and Mordred turned to Merlin to confirm what they had just heard. Merlin nodded because that's what he was doing.

"Merlin is an annoying man but he is able to enter into dreams," Y/N continued, "but it is precisely this ability that has prevented the resurrection of Goetia so far and that's why you want to kill him."

According to the history, Merlin was the Magician of the British Isles, born from the union of an Incubus with a human woman. Given his incubus' heritage, Merlin had the ability to manipulate dreams.
