"Jared, listen to me..." Drea's voice broke that very moment, and his lungs lost air too. "I love you."

Those were her last words. The last words he ever heard before a gunshot terminated the call. Jared's breathing came unstable as tears started to race down his chin. All of his weakness surfaced the moment she said those words that he wasn't ready to say.

If this is to be the last, then...

No. it couldn't be.

"I need to get her." He stood back up, swallowing the lump in his throat. he knew-he just knew that he had to fight for this. He will see her again no matter what.

Unfortunately, a group of men from the NSA blocked his way, holding their guns on their chests and not planning to shoot him or anything but just block him. Robert Vance stepped in front of his men to put reassuring hands over both of his shoulders. The man looked at him straight in the eyes and said, "You can't just go there without thinking clearly. We have to have a plan."

"They want the fin, you heard it. I'm gonna give them what they want and they will give her to me. It's easy as that."

"That is a great price, Jared! You're putting people at risk here!" Ben Stone stepped into the conversation, wearing his knightly armor. His family is at risk here. The passengers are, too, and for sure other people are.

He wasn't planning to think twice. His heart tells him to go quickly as he can or he will never get to see her again. But they are right, they can't be risking the people here. Once they give the major what she wants then it's all done for. All of their pent-up efforts to finding an answer about this will all go to waste. And he knows for sure that Drea wouldn't want that. She said it herself-and if he dares disobey that, she wouldn't forgive him.

But he would rather have her not forgive him than never seeing her again.

Behind him is Michaela, the first person he ever called when he knew of Drea's disappearance. She was there, blue eyes stuck on him in sympathy. Jared told her how he felt about Drea and he knows for sure that if anybody here would take his side, it would be Mick. He didn't even need words to beg. His eyes were enough proof already that if he doesn't get her-wherever she is-he would be as good as dead.

Michaela immediately fished her phone from her pocket, no one knows who she's planning to call but Captain Bowers who was right there beside her dared to stop her hand.

"Stone, what are you doing? This is national security. You can't be impulsive about it!"

"This is Drea, ma'am. My partner. YOUR detective. If anything happens to her I will never forgive myself." Michaela said as she turned to Jared and nodded, continuing the call to whoever. Zeke followed her somewhere else, where she can talk quietly.

Because of his sister's disagreement, Ben's nose flared. They get it, he's trying to protect his family. But Drea is family. She risked her life for this, too. It's not fair if it's always gonna be her life that's on the line. Grace also understood this. She has been close to Drea, and she understands Ben. She is terrified as well. For their children, for Ben, for Mick... and the child inside her womb, but she could not contribute to anything. So instead of doing absolutely nothing, she clutched on Ben's arm. just to halt him from throwing hands. Her eyes are on Olive and Cal snuggled up with Jimmy on the couch and beside Eden's crib. Although far from where the adults are talking, she knows as a mother that they are well-aware of what's happening. Not to mention that Cal's eyes are straight staring on Jared who now takes upon his quarrel with his boss.
