Chapter 40: Acceptance

I stare at Jace as the words float in my head. You know this is like when the bad guys ask the good guys for help, but just has a bad plan behind their head. And plus why would we want to help them. They literally scheme to get rid of us every day.

"And why would we help you?" I ask

"I need to join your team" He says

"Ok that can never happen" Jayden says

"Please" Jace begs

"What the? How did the thought just jump into your head" I say

"It's clearly obvious you guys are going to form the Heavens Gem first. Look, you already have the first piece meanwhile we haven't even found one" He says pointing at Matilda's bubble

"So? That is none of your business and how did you find us" Jayden says

"Please!! I want to protect my kingdom as much as you want to protect yours" He says

"And why should we believe this is not just a scheme?" Matilda asks

"I have important information that the others hold dearly. With theirs and yours, you will be faster than you can imagine" He says

"I don't trust you" Jayden says honestly

"It's your choice. Accept me and gain The Heavens Gem or I walk away with all the information I have" He says

Drake nods at us to talk privately. We walk away while Jace looks at us questionly.

"Guys he has a point" Drake says

"You have got to be kidding me. It's written all over him, he has a plan" Jayden says

"But as he said with their information and ours we can move way faster" Drake says

"You seriously trust him?" Jayden questions

"Of course not, but we need this" Drake says

"Drake's right. We will put our guard up around him. Watch him for sometime and if he shows that he will betray us. We quickly handle it" I say

"But we still need King Judah and Ray's opinion" Matilda says

"We will get theirs. Let's take him with us first" Drake says

"I don't like this. I will shield the bubble, Matilda stay close" Jayden says

We all nod and walk towards Jace. Jayden of course had a look of annoyance. I nudged him and smiled.

"Fine you can come with us" Drake says

Drake holds Jace hand as we teleport to The Heavens Dome. Ray and Sasha looked at us and noticed the new member. Ray's face immediately morphed into hatred.

"What is he doing here?" He roared

"Ray calm down" I say

"I said what is he doing here?" He shouted again

"Sasha please" I beg

"Ray calm down" Sasha says turning him away

King Judah enters the room, probably to welcome us back and take the piece. His eyes fall on Jace and he looked confused, then slowly walks towards us.

"What is going on?" He asks

"Before you probably start shouting like Ray. We brought the piece" Matilda says

She opens the bubble to show the piece. King Judah nods his head in satisfaction and she wraps it back. Two men immediately carry it away, I watch how Jace eyes trail after it.
