"For the first time after getting married,
We've with us Manik Malhotra to discuss marriage. This has never happened before and we're honoured to know his insights on marriage and getting married" The Interviewer.

"Pleased to be here" Manik said.

Q1: My first question to you is,
How is it? To be married? From being a boy to suddenly a married man!

Manik: Feels surreal yaar. It's amazing. It hits you a little that you know you were a boy uptill now and now suddenly everyone considers you a man but if you've married the right one,it doesn't matter.

Q2: One thing that has changed after marriage?

Manik: About me? Or between me and Nandini or in general?

IVer- All three.

Manik: About me I'd say I'm finding myself being more responsible towards things. I think. (Laughs) Between me and Nandini; absolutely nothing has changed and nothing ever will hopefully. In general,Haa abb pehla Mom used to say "bada ho gaya hai abb tu yeh karle woh karle" abb bolti hai ki "shaadi ho gayi hai abb teri" that's it. (Laughs)

Q3: When you say nothing has changed between you and Nandini means? Like absolutely nothing? No perks of getting married. Side effects? (Laughs)

Manik: No yaar,no side effects I mean see marriage has a bad assumptions in India because of the jokes that go around on WhatsApp and all. Ki nayi nayi hai isliye aesa bol raha hai aesa nahi hai. Jiss insaan se tum pyaar karte ho you'll get to spend your entire life with her so you will be happy your entire life,why not? Waking up to her. Sleeping besides her. That's what life is.

Q4: When you say you've become more responsible, what'd you mean?

Manik: I think I've become more responsible towards Nandini you know; like if I get late at work I do have it at the back of my mind ke abn ghar pe koi wait kar rha hai mera jo tension mein aa jayega. Otherwise toh aadhi zindagi Cabir ke ghar nikaldi Mom ko pata bhi nai hota ghar aaya ki raat ko. (Laughs) Mom ne umeed chod di thi ki yeh ladka nai sudhrega to bolti hi nai thi phir.

Par haa I do think ke abb nai itna hangout karna dosto ke saath you know let's get done with the work and go home. And it's not like Nandini tells me to come home early ya kuch she doesn't, I've a very practical understanding wife fortunately. So ya,aese small small things make you realize that you've become a man now.

Q5: What change did feel in yourself because of Nandini after getting married?

Manik: All changes in me before or after getting married have been because of Nandini only but I think ground level pe she's made me know my house. Like mereko yeh bhi nahi pata hota tha ki kitchen mein kaunse drawer mein kya hai. Where's the plate, where's the spoon. Itne naazo se pala posa gaya huh mein ki I never had to enter kitchen. Aur isme Moms ko galat portray karna sahi baat nahi.
Aesa nahi hai ki Maa beto ko kuch sikhati nahi hai aree maa-ein toh bani hai laad pyaar karne apne bacho ko. Unka kaam hai yeh.

Aur biwi ka kaam hai ki tumhe yeh bataye ki bhaisaab,aap itne important nahi hai chup chap kitchen mein aaiye. (Laughs)
