ranboo's pov~

It was time, for the baking with y/n stream. The fans were super hyped and I've seen a lot of videos on tiktok about how people are ignoring their families just for this stream.

y/n was getting everything in the kitchen set up; the ingredients, bowls, and other things. While she was doing that, I was getting into my Ranboo outfit excitedly.

Once I have everything, I walked into the kitchen to be greeted with a side hug. "Hello mister Boo," she said.

"Hello miss y/l/n."

"Are you ready to feed the shippers?"

I chuckle. "Yes."

Everything was already set up, so I clicked the 'Go Live' button.

Viewers flooded instantly. 300, 1k, 4k, 9k, 14k, 54k. It progressively got way larger really quickly.

"Hello chat," y/n and I said in sync.

After a few more moments and some chit chat with donos, we decided to get started.

"Alright chat! We're going off of a recipe and directions that y/n found online!"

"Okay, number one; prep pans. With like butter or..?"

"It probably tells you if you read it," I say shaking my head slightly.

"Ha! You were correct. Use butter to grease it or we can use parchment paper."

"Okay, I'll butter up the pan, you read step two." I step aside and grab our cake pan and one of the sticks of butter, getting a coat covering the pans bottom and sides.

"Step two; get ingredients to room temp. They're already room temp, SO step three; preheat the oven." She turned around and preheated the oven behind us to around 350 degrees (Fahrenheit).

"Step 4; stir dry ingredients. Ranboo can you pass me that large bowl?" I reach up and grab the bowl from the counter.

"Wow we're making so much progress so quick chat."

Most of chat was just amazed that we were actually attempting to make a normal cake instead of some meme where I add like a cinnamon roll to it.

She pours flour, baking powder, and salt in the bowl. Then she whisks them together.

"What about the sugar?"

"According to this, sugar gets mixed with butter, not dry ingredients." We both look at each other for a second and then shrug. She turns back to the mixture.

"Alright do you want to mix the butter and sugar?" she asks putting the dry ingredients on the counter behind us.

"Sure," I say grabbing a bowl and our hand mixer.

"Okay I'll read off this direction step by step for you," I nod and proceed to do exactly what she tells me. "First you have to mix just the butter for 30 seconds on a higher speed.... Okay now I'll add sugar while you continue allowing it to mix." She pours in the sugar.

"It says this takes three to five minutes and it can't be less than that. It has to be a 'light, fluffy' texture and it advises we scrape off the sides while mixing."

"You can do that with the spatula over there," I nod to a utensil on the counter, which she picks up. After a quick conversation we decided four minutes and we'll go from there, so y/n set a timer and occasionally scraped the sides of the bowl while we mixed.
