Random JJK Headcanon #6 • Gojo's Moral Compass

Let's talk about Gojo's morality and his mental state as a jujutsu shaman. I think if you've stayed then you know about chapter 73 Gojo and chapter 89 Gojo. Same person, but still different people at the same time. 

Gojo practically doesn't give a damn for non-shamans when he was in highschool, Riko being the first he shows compassion to. 17 year old Gojo and 28 year old Gojo are different based on not only maturity but their willingness to give up innocent lives. 

To be fair 17 year old Gojo didn't hold the world as his adult self does now. Akutami-sensei even states that Gojo has got it together since Getou's defection. 

You've all see how cold hearted Gojo can be. He understands that there will be casualties, that he isn't strong enough to save everyone because they're weak and don't know better but we don't talk about that. He's capable of being cold blooded but also moving forward. 

I don't know it came as a surprise to me when I realized Gojo won't go as far as sacrificing the lives of innocent people anymore. No one talks about how Gojo isn't willing to kill innocent people to gain the upper hand. We see that with him taking the time to calculate the lasting effects it would put on the non-shamans, and after deeming that they wouldn't be killed did he go on with the domain expansion. 

Gojo is cold, and will always be cold. he's willing to lock his emotions up, taking the logical route, to fix the problem. If you're okay with we with a person like that, who is okay with at least hurting people to get something then go ahead. I think that's why I haven't written a match up with mostly because his personality doesn't correlate with others as much as they think it will. 

That being said, he isn't a total sociopath some people make him out to be. He's an ENTP and is capable of compassion and feelings. He can just close them off if need be. 

Also I don't think highschool Gojo liked kids all that much... like he took one look at Riko and was like "tsk this kid–"

I do love the art of him taking care of Megumi as a child though.
