This is pretty messy thinking on my part, but then again I lowkey can't stop thinking all day and it kinda sucks so I'll share it with you.

Gojo's physically affectionate right? In almost every domestic fanfic he can be seen being clingy af and just attaching himself like a koala to someone because this man was deprived as a kid.

Wrong.

I think officially Gojo turned his infinity off 4 times in season one. When Itadori hugged him and when he was caring him in episode 7. Also when he held Jogo's hand. I guess him being in that volcano domain expansion counts too? But not really... oh wait I remember. When he had his arm slung around Nanami.

I still don't think Gojo is as affectionate as we make him out to be though...because I kinda think he doesn't know how to handle it....? If that makes sense.

I saw this fanfic where they were in a relationship and the one time they actually hugged was when he was super tired from using his eyes. And when he realized what he was doing he put y/n at arm's length– even uttering an apology. Obviously this isn't canon but it got me thinking.

That kinda confused me when I realized he probably didn't get affection as a kid. That being said, I don't think he doesn't give affection at all. I just don't think it's as physical as we think.

His ability is literally perfect for germaphobes, and he keeps it up to detach himself from the world. Quite literally.

I don't think he's against it though. We see that with Itadori. But at the same time he doesn't really give it out so freely.
