Xavier's POV:

I could not keep my promise to protect her.

I was disappointed with myself how could I not protect her when she was only few step away from her.

That bastard how dare he harm her.

I am not going to leave him.

I am going to make his life living hell.

It's been 10 hours already though the surgery was successful but there is still the risk till she wakes up,

I am loosing my mind.

I am not being able to think straight.

If anything happens to her how am I going to live.

I only wanted her in my life now her life is in danger because of me.

I told my dad to handle the media and and police till Christiana wake up.

I will talk with them after I am sure my princess is fine.

I am setting on a chair beside her and waiting for her to wake up.

She looks so pale because of the blood loose.

It's 8 in the morning and I haven't slept for the whole night.

Christiana's mom insisted me to go home and freshen up and come back but I wanted to be the first to see her wake up so I declined her offer.

My dad got me dress to change so I changed it in the hospital bathroom.

It's already been 18 hours and still she is unconscious.

I am really worried my mom insisted me to eat something but how can I eat when my love is fighting with the death.

I took her her hand in my hand and raised it to my lips and kissed it.

Princess please wake up, I can't live without you, you are my life, I am sorry I couldn't protect you, please forgive me.

Christiana's POV:

I felt something cold touched my hand and heard someone talking but I couldn't open my eyes.

Than I heard Xavier talking to me asking for forgiveness.

I wanted to tell him I am ok.
It was not his fault.

I summed all my strength and opened my eyes but immediately closed it because of the bright light.

Xavier immediately went to close the window and came back to the bed.

Than I slowly opened my eyes.

Now the light was not at bright as before.

Xavier clicked the button besides my bed to inform my doctor about me waking up.

Than he kissed me on my forehead.

I wanted to talk but but throat was paining and my voice was hoarse.

Xavier gave me water to drink.

After 2 minute my doctor came.

She asked me some questions and took notes on her notepad.

She told me I was lucky the bullet did not harm me internally.

The distance of firing spot was far so it did not cause me more harm but I have lost lots of blood.

She told me I need to take bed rest for at least 15 days.
