Space, it's another thing, another five letter word because apparently, coming up with proper titles is not something I'm good at anymore as practical research has been fully introduced to us. Space means a continuous area of distance, sometimes it means that area past the cloud of heavens above us, and I love both meanings of space in all it's possible shapes and other forms. I love how there's so much out there beyond what's ours, a whole new thing to discover and learn about, how it keeps me safe and also provides me that little bit of comfort. Especially when you're apart of a throuple.
"You can't be serious."
"Well," Chris places the styrofoam of burning coffee down. "(m/n)'s a busy woman."
"No offense, cause I love my mom and her line of work is truly amazing and an all-day thing, but we're kinda busier," you gestured your baggage besides you, looking away at the large glass windows looking out to the airplanes by by the terminals, a slightly foggy mist taking up the runway. You take a cautious sip of coffee, biting your lip. "I probably already know the answer to this, but how did Gigi find out about us? I barely even said anything that morning. And that's saying something cause I left for a meeting at eleven."
Sebastian chuckled and looked down, running his tongue across his lips. Chris cocked his head to the right, raising his shoulder up, both of your boyfriends waiting patiently for you to piece things together. The amused little grin on Chris' face made you groan in realization as bury your face in your cold hands. "That's why they were here the other day? I just thought they genuinely missed you guys."
"Oh they did, it's just that Mama panicked when she found you sleeping on the couch. It's a rare occasion for you to fall directly into the couch after drinking. You usually prefer the floor." Sebastian teased playfully from beside you, causing you to groan even louder in embarrassment. "It's alright though, we explained ourselves and they promised not to bring it up at the table. We wanted to keep it as casual as possible."
"Oh god, I feel like an asshole," you pinched the bridge of your nose, running your hands back into your hairline. "I didn't even notice it then."
"You were going through your normal hangover. Plus you were busy with the film thing, it isn't your fault." Chris lets out a breath, his eyebrows brought down in worry as he stared back at you. "Look, it's already been a week since it's happened... we're down to only three more people and..." he paused, looking at Sebastian before huffing. You sent him a small grin.
"Chris, it's okay."
"I know, I know," he raised both hands up in defense, crossing them at the edge of table and keeping his stare on his hands, eyebrows furrowed down. "It's been a week and all but I still feel bad. I can't help it."
Your look softened. It did hurt a little to not be able to... to give into that particular field. Not yet at least. You knew both Sebastian and Chris craved touch and proximity, it's actually been the norm of your whole relationship from the start, and you didn't blame them. They were both raised in a similar fashion, where touch spoke millions of words that could never be said verbally on a daily basis. That's how they were and you respected that. Most importantly, they respected how you weren't ready sexually. Growing up with your kind of mother and Carter was a calm and normally tolerable mess of what you know now as life; you were taught to always try out new things and be as much as yourself as you could, meaning you would know your limits and capabilities if not for a little peer pressure. Sometimes no actually meant no to the other party.
But deep down you were still scared, knowing that at your age you should have already lost it back in your late teens to early twenties, as it was a norm to have lost it by then. With your new relationship you thought that maybe this would be it, that maybe this time, you'd be comfortable enough to let go, comfortable enough with the people you know you can submit yourself to.
