As soon as I opened the door, a silhouette figure stood before the glass window, basking in sunlight that poured through it. The first thing I noticed when my eyes finally adjusted to the lighting, was her silver headpiece that had cascading florals, reminiscent of the Wisteria flower. Connected to it was a piece of veil that cloaked over her loose and tousled twists updo. An elegant style that accentuated the balayage of her hair.
Upon realising my presence, Y/N turned around slowly, her gaze met mine. I couldn't look away and ended up staring at her frame far too long. I was completely charmed by the divinity that exuded from her appearance. She looked more matured and composed, especially in her snowy white dress. The embroidered lace straps of her off shoulder gown revealed the silkiness of her (s/c) skin and sharp collarbones that protruded above her developed chest. There wasn't a word in the dictionary that could describe how beautiful she looked.
My lips parted and closed repeatedly, trying to find the right words to say. 7 years of not meeting each other had rendered me speechless.
What was I even supposed to say? Words of encouragement so she could go back and marry someone else? Words of comfort? Even though I felt like I needed that the most. I couldn't think of something genuine to say because my heart was burning with envy. Truth be told, I didn't want her to go back there but on the other hand, I couldn't let the people sit there and wait.
"Y/N," I only said, barely above a whisper.
**Y/N POV**
Your eyes looked at him up and down in utter disbelief, like seeing an object come to life from the endless manifesting. His being had evoked a familiar sensation which you thought you had long forgotten. Heart palpitations, his minty olfactory mixed with tobacco, the blood rush to your cheeks, the comfort in his eyes. Nothing changed, neither did your heart.
"Ai..zawa.." Your feet instinctively stepped forward.
He stood before you, charismatic and well groomed in his black suit. Didn't even age a bit. In fact, he looked better than ever. Aizawa gave a wistful smile, as a series of memories flood back in like water gushing into an empty vessel. He approached you, grey orbs staring deep into yours.
Time went still and the world fell silent. Just the rapid beating of two hearts that yearn for each other.
"It's been awhile...huh? You've grown into a beautiful young lady," he spoke chorus of whispers.
"Thank you. And you've aged like fine wine," you replied, still quite dumbstruck.
There was awkward tension in the air but it didn't matter since you were too busy admiring him and indulging in his presence.
"That sad expression of yours doesn't suit you. It's your wedding day, your big day, you should be excited. Now, you look like a big ball of sadness," he pinched your nose, making you jerk.
"Wha-! Stop treating me like a kid!" You wailed as he chuckled.
"That's more like you," he paused. "Y/N, everyone's waiting. You don't want to leave that poor boy alone on that podium. He looked worried than ever,"
You remained silent.
"Tell me, what is going through your head right now?" He asked.
"I.. don't know. I just feel overwhelmed. Part of me thinks it's just a fever dream. Maybe I'll wake up and realise I'm back at school again with my classmates in U.A. I don't know.. everything just feels surreal. Am I really... getting married?" You stared at the ankle straps of your white heels.
