Amidst the loud thunderstorm, a heart wrenching cry pierced the atmosphere followed by the squelching sound of hasty footsteps against a muddy ground. A blurry dark figure stumbled its way towards you, yelling and mumbling your name in desperation over and over again. It was a familiar female voice.

"M-mother?" you muttered as your vision began to clear again.

The brown haired woman panted in between her cries as her eyes brimmed with tears. Just when you were about to run into her arms, there was a sharp pain prickling your abdomen, at the same time blood came spurting out from your mouth down to your neck. Horrified, you stared widely at the blood seeping through your white clothes.

"Y/N!!!!!" A man's voice called out for you.

You spun quickly to see Aizawa dashing to your aid, but it felt like he was running on a treadmill. His legs were moving but he wasn't getting any closer. The distance between the two of you remained stagnant, and then slowly wider till he was beyond your reach. Your body turned as cold as ice from the immense loss of blood and in that moment, you collapsed to the ground hard.

The impact made your eyes shot open in panic and that was when you realised everything was just a dream. A strange one. Usually you would have dreams about your mother's death but this time, similar to the one you had after you collapsed in the cave, it was about your death instead.

But was it really just a dream? The taste of death felt too real and painful. Maybe you had overlooked it, but do dreams ever conjure such physical sensations?

Shrugging off that nightmare, you head to the bathroom to prepare for the big day; the sports festival. It was finally here and though you were scared, it felt thrilling, because then you'll get to meet people and quirks across all classes and courses

'I'll rise to the top and become number 1,'

Crowds began to flood the grandstand in a flash as the
students prepare themselves for the first round; The Perilous Obstacle Race around the stadium.

Todoroki stood next to you in silence. His usual poker face had a tinge of determination on it, ready to prove the world that he could flourish even with just half of his quirk.

"Nervous?" He turned to look at you after noticing that you had been staring for too long.

"W-Well, a little. But I'm excited!" You perkily replied.

"Mm. I wish you all the best," he smiled. Honestly you couldn't tell if he was being genuine or he was intentionally provoking you. But it felt like he was teasing you, because the difference in strength was like night and day. Even so, you didn't let that falter you.  Everyone had been bestowed different powers not luck, its only a matter of how you choose to hone your quirk. Behind closed doors, Todoroki must've worked his ass off, so it wasn't a fluke if he was better.
And that was why you have such huge respect for him.

As soon as the horns blew, everyone dashed off with full speed. But you knew that agility alone would not land anyone a first place because it was also a test of strength and mentality.

Sharp crystallisation sound resonated the surrounding as Todoroki made the first move of freezing everyone to the ground, but you along with 1A were able to escape it.

"TODOROKI! That was cruel!" You yelled, chasing after the half and half boy. He only gave you a small grin before running ahead when all of a sudden a huge robot knocked him away in one sweep. Everyone halted in surprise after seeing the emergence of Villain Robots. In a distant, Present Mic was screeching into the speaker with his endless commentaries.
