"Long time no see Vincent," a familiar voice said from behind.

"Was this really necessary?" I complained to Klaus as he dragged me through the forest, again. "I'm supposed to be in school."

"I'm aware but this is more important," he urged. "And let's face it, you just want to be with your blondie."

I rolled my eyes at him, even though he was right. Skipping school again for Klaus' sake was not what I had in mind. I was hoping to be with my friends, with Sarah. I even put on my cologne that the girls found sexy, much to Klaus' annoyance. He thought we'd be easy to detect.

We trudged on, deeper into the forest, parts I've never been to. I was hoping whatever it was that Klaus wanted to show me was going to be worth it. I didn't even realise when he stopped walking and I crashed into him, happens way too often apparently.

"Look!" he hissed, eyes focused on something in the distance.

I couldn't see anything, and for a moment, was convinced that Klaus was messing with me, until, I smelt it. The strong, overpowering smell of blood. My head turned in the direction and eyes focused in the distance. Hanging from a tree was a corpse, drenched in blood that was oozing from the neck. There was only one vampire that we knew who killed that way.

"I thought dad staked her," I asked.

"Either she revived herself or dad lied. Unless-" Klaus' voice trailed off.

"Unless she never died," I finished as he nodded.

Sheila Winston was the vampire who roamed Janesville when we were younger, before we were turned. She was feared by all and chose to be the only vampire in the town, not wanting to turn anyone else, just feed and kill. Her way of killing was to lure her victim into the woods, where she'd feed from the neck. Once she'd drained them of blood, she'd leave them hanging from trees as a sign of her power over us humans. Our family, however, wasn't so lucky. She fell in love with my father, killed our mom, before turning Klaus and me into vampires so as to convince my father to join her in being a vampire. When he continued to refuse, she was furious and threatened to kill us. We were sent away for a while, only coming back when our father had killed her.

He did kill her, as he mentioned in the letter he wrote us before he lost his battle to his injuries. He'd sworn she'd be out of our lives for good.

Suddenly, I heard something snap from behind me. I turned, only to see Klaus on the floor, his neck snapped.

"Sheila where are you?" I asked out loud.

I heard her giggling in all directions. This was something she'd also do, use her vampire super speed, another perk of being a vampire, to confuse her victims as she circled them, giggling all the way. I needed help. I called the one person I knew could help.

"Dylan, Sheila's back and Klaus and I are in her trap. Get here, NOW! Bring Alyssa if you must, just hurry," I managed to get out before I noticed she'd stopped giggling.

"Long time no see Vincent," a familiar voice said from behind.

"Should have stayed that way," I responded, speeding toward her as fast as I could to snap her neck, but she was quicker.

The last thing I remember was her cackling as her cold hands wrapped around my neck as they snapped it.
