  "We have to kill her tonight,"

When Sarah's word sank in, I knew instantly the trouble we all were in. If Sheila found out that she was related to Sarah, there was no telling what she would do. I pulled her closer to me such that every inch of our bodies was touching and dug my face in her neck. My heart was racing, and I could hear her heart doing the same. "We should tell the others," I suggested, and she didn't argue. I held her hand as we sped off to Alyssa's.

  There was an obvious look of confusion on everyone's face when I walked into Alyssa's room with a tear-stained Sarah holding my hand. I chose to ignore it and sat Sarah down while Alyssa and Kiara rushed toward her and enveloped her in a hug. I saw Dylan and Klaus smirking and rolled my eyes, trying my best to hide the smile that slowly crept onto my face. "My parents just told me I'm adopted, and you will not believe who I am related to," Sarah sobbed. The silence hung heavily on us, but we understood the severity of the situation. I butt in immediately, promising we wouldn't let Sheila anywhere near Sarah without proper protection. 

  "We have to kill her tonight," Klaus said. We all looked at him in disbelief. "If we wait too long, Sheila will know something isn't right. We have to tell her we found her descendant, give her the blood and then stake her. It happens tonight," he emphasised. What he said made sense, but it also meant asking a great deal from Sarah, who had just received a huge blow from her family. I shifted my gaze to her, hoping her face would indicate a reaction to Klaus' statement. She looked tired, but her eyes told a different story. She was determined. "I'm ready," she said. I frowned, not buying what she said. "I can do this," she repeated more firmly. I knew I couldn't talk her out of this, so I nodded too. Everyone was on board, so now all we needed was a plan.
