his skin turning grey and blood oozing from his heart.

Sarah's POV

I turned to see a figure come out from a distance. My jaw dropped. My eyes turned to Vinnie, and his look of shock told me he was at a loss for words. "Hello, Vinnie," he said, approaching Vinnie. "Josh, what are you doing?" Vinnie asked, his voice steady and calm. Josh squared him up, a look of confidence on his face. "He's here to make sure you keep to your promise, no tricks up your sleeves, I hope," Sheila said, mocking us. She knew something was up when we showed up promptly, with the only thing making her immortal and more powerful.

Sheila walked over to me, eyeing me up and down. I tried to stay as calm as possible. "I can hear your heart racing," she cackled. Her eyes moved to my neck, and the veins around her eyes grew. Her fangs came into view, and she looked more frightening than usual. She grabbed my hand, twisting it behind my back. Vinnie turned to try and stop Sheila, but Josh punched him, causing him to fall to the ground. Klaus sped to Josh, but Josh was faster, kicking Klaus and knocking him out. "YOU TURNED HIM INTO A VAMPIRE?" Vinnie yelled at Sheila. She threw her head back, roaring with laughter. Josh tied Vinnie and Klaus together with a rope he had in his bag. I noticed him flinch as he tied them and then noticed Vinnie wincing. "Ropes laced in vervain," Sheila responded as if she'd read my mind. With that, she pushed me forward.

Vinnie's POV

The vervain burned into my skin. I knew fighting myself free would be pointless; it would sting even more. I turned to Sarah, fear written all over her face. "Tell your friends to leave, and your girlfriend will not be harmed," Sheila orders. I grunt. My mind and heart were racing. Sheila clearly thought two steps ahead; we couldn't risk anything. Klaus was still out cold. I sighed, nodding in defeat. Josh took my phone out for me, loosening the ropes slightly so I could call the rest up. I thought about kicking him and racing over to Sarah, but he kept his distance, ensuring that any sudden action of mine would alarm him and Sarah would be in danger. The phone rang for a bit before I heard Dylan's voice. "Plan's off. Sheila knows," I said, defeat visible in my tone. I hung up to glare at Sheila, ensuring she stuck to her promise. She smiled, releasing Sarah who fell to the ground, her face pale as a sheet. "Now, what do I have to do?" She asked aloud, turning to face Sarah. In a split second, she raced to a nearby wooden sign and rammed into Josh. It happened so quickly that I didn't understand what happened until Josh fell to the ground, his skin turning grey and blood oozing from his heart. Sarah yelped and turned away, whimpering. "Was never fond of him. Just needed someone to do the dirty work for me," Sheila said, looming over Josh's body with pride. She then winked at me before picking Sarah up and speeding away with her. I cussed under my breath. Now, what do we do?
