made by the fangs of a vampire.
I could see the hurt in Alyssa's eyes when we heard Sarah and Kiara laughing at our "misery" without them. Even then, she turned to glare at the two.
"Relax, Lyss," I coaxed. She turned to look at me, rolling her eyes. It wasn't easy avoiding Sarah, Kiara and Louis when we had classes with them. From the corner of my eye, I saw Sarah and Kiara get up and leave.
"I miss them," Alyssa sighed. Dylan hugged her, giving me a questioning look, wondering if avoiding them was still a good idea. I sighed. I really didn't know what to think. I wasn't sure if this was the best way to keep her safe.
"I have to get to class," I got up, heading to class early so I could pull off what I'd been planning on doing.
I walked into history a lot earlier than Mr Walsh expected; usually, I was late. "I want you to allow Josh and I to switch seats. I'm sitting at the back now," I said, looking him dead in the eyes. He nodded. Compulsion was the easiest way to get things done.
"Any reason why you don't want to sit next to the hot, new girl who you have a crush on?" Josh asked, entering the classroom early, just like how I'd asked him.
"We're in a fight, and I don't have a crush on her," I said firmly, to which he responded with a raised eyebrow. "Whatever, it's only temporary."
It wasn't too long before the class swarmed in. I sat at the back, observing Sarah and noticing her puzzled expression when she realised I wasn't at my seat. I heard her asking about Mr Walsh pointing my way. I looked away; I didn't want to be caught looking at her when I was clearly avoiding her.
Then, the most unexpected thing happened. She turned to face Kiara, blushing. That wasn't supposed to happen, I thought to myself, swearing to myself if Josh tried something with her, I'd kill him.
"Sorry to disturb your class Mr Walsh but Mr Hacker is needed in the principal's office," a female voice came from the door. Mr Walsh nodded, which was my cue to leave. There was a thought that kept bugging me. Did Sarah do something? I didn't want to assume anything, but she was angry, and I have never been called out by a teacher before. Not to mention the guilty look on Sarah's face when she walked into class. I shot her a text, sending it only when I'd left the classroom.
"Am I in trouble?" I asked the female teacher, trying to understand the situation. She ignored me and kept walking ahead.
"This isn't the way to the principal's office," I pointed out to the teacher as she turned to the wrong hallway. With that, she stopped abruptly. As confused as I was, I stopped too.
"She wanted me to give you this," she started.
"Who?"
"Sheila," she removed the hair from her neck, where I noticed the two holes made by the fangs of a vampire. The blood was still dripping.
The smell of the warm blood got to me. I wanted to feed on her so badly. I noticed the look of horror on her face, which made me realise that the veins on my face were popping, my eyes were bloodshot and my fangs were out. It was then that I realised Sheila knew where I was and where to look for me, and the only way for her to know was if someone told her and the only person I could think of was Sarah.
"Hello, Vincent." A cold, female voice said from behind me. I didn't even have to turn around to know who it was.
"Sheila."
