*So, I know, the last chapter was as cheesy as cheeseballs. Whatever, I loved it. HAHAHAHA :) BTW, I need a break from the drama too, so here ye go! Song is by Ellie Goulding for the FSOG soundtrack, as if you didn't know that already. Honestly, that movie's soundtrack is amazing. I love it. Hint hint, there will be a little something something in this chapter. Hope you like it! Sorry for the long wait.*

Nina's POV

"Wake up, beautiful."

I opened my eyes slowly and saw Ian, his face directly in front of mine, looking at me directly with his blue eyes. It was probably the only time I noticed how they seemed to move like waves in the ocean.

He was going to be my husband soon.

Before he could say anything, I turned away from him and yawned loudly, launching myself off of the bed.

"Whoa, that excited to get out of bed with me, are you now?" he asked, sitting up. I grinned, shrugged, and made my way inside the bathroom. I grabbed the mouthwash, took a long swig, gargled it excitedly and spat it out in the sink. I tied my hair up in a bun and made my way to lie down next to Ian the same way I woke up.

"Good morning," I whispered, placing my hand on his cheek.

"You know I wouldn't mind waking up next to you with your morning breath and bed hair," he said, pulling me closer to him. He planted a kiss on my forehead, then placed his hand behind my head. He unravelled my bun and straightened out my hair to one side of my head, cascading over my shoulder. "I'd love for you to realize that."

"I just don't want you to pass out every morning," I whispered.

"Fair enough," he snickered, brushing the tips of his fingers over my cheeks. "Now I feel guilty for not thinking the same thing."

I smiled and shrugged. "It doesn't bother me," I sighed, moving in to kiss him.

"But it bothers me," he said, getting up from the bed. I rolled my eyes and lied back down, snickering as Ian rushed to the bathroom. I grabbed a pillow and lunged it at him, hitting him right in the back of his head.

He turned around to face me and glared at me playfully. He did the whole 'I'm watching you' gesture and stuck his tongue out at me, closing the bathroom door behind him.

I ran my hand through my hair and sighed, checking my phone for updates. Last night, after our whole fight, Ian and I made up and he drove to see Derek.

Last night

"Mr. Derek Hough is in Room 504, Ms. Dobrev," the nurse behind the help desk said. "Visiting hours end at 10."

"Noted," I said, smiling at her. Ian took my hand and led me down the halls of the hospital. I wrapped my fingers around his tightly, gently squeezing his hand.

He looked over at me and sighed, "Nervous?"

I looked at him and shook my head stiffly. He cocked his head to the side and whispered, "Liar."

"I'm not-."

"Nina, you're squeezing the hell out of my hand," he groaned. "It hurts, but hey, if you need a stress ball, my hand is right here."

I smiled faintly and rubbed my hands together. "I just- I don't think I'm ready to see him like this," I said.

He smirked and stopped abruptly, holding me out at arm's length. "No one's ever ready to see someone they love in a hospital bed," he answered. "We weren't ready to see Paul, Paul wasn't ready to see Torrey, hell I wasn't even ready to see you after that accident. No one's ready for that pain."
