Nina's POV

"Come on, it wasn't that bad Nina," Paul sighed, taking a sip from his Cafe Macchiato. "It was just... absurdly public."

We were seated in their living room, while Torrey was out for another Pretty Little Liars photoshoot. He invited me for a cup of coffee and most probably, a bit of friendly advice.

I didn't want to think that he'd be biased by the fact that he and Ian were like two peas in a pod. I knew they had each other's backs on everything, so why should this be any different?

"But if I knew that he'd be there, I wouldn't have gone," I sighed. "I guess I just wasn't ready to face Ian yet."

He set his cup down and looked at me. "Nina, it's been a couple of months already," he sighed. "Don't tell me you never dreamt of seeing him again.''

I bit my lip. "He's actually all I've ever dreamt of after that," I sighed. "I've been dreaming of the same thing. Me and him being on a new show together after breaking up and then-. wait."

"What?"

"I actually dreamt of being Lexi Reinhart... and he was Harry Morgan. He was my partner, even in my dream," I sighed. "I dreamt of being on Lights with him right after I found out I got the role. I thought it was just a weird, messed-up dream."

Paul cracked a smile. "Meaning you do want him to be Harry," he said. "It's a sign, Nina."

"I WANTED him to be Harry," I groaned. "But after all the crap he threw on me yesterday, I don't think I'm ready to talk to him yet, let alone act like his onscreen girlfriend."

"But you know that you're only acting this way because you're scared of getting hurt again," he said.

I kept silent, but I nodded stiffly.

"All those accusations," he said. "About him cheating on you with Ashley. Do you know they're true?"

I shrugged. "I saw them, didn't I?"

"Yeah, you saw them together and quickly assumed that Ian was cheating!" he said.

"But why would he lie?" I asked. "It just doesn't make sense to me. He told me he had other things to do. So, I went alone. And when I got in the theater, he was there sitting next to Ash."

Paul sighed. "He told me he only went with her because she overheard you talking to Evan about it on the phone," he said. He looked at my phone on the coffee table and scrolled down. He showed me Evan's name in my Call List.

I grabbed it and tossed it over to the other couch. "And?"

"He just didn't get why you had to confide in your ex."

"And I don't get why he had to show up to a public event with HIS ex!" I said. "At least, I didn't publicly display the conversation."

He groaned. "But still, Evan was your ex, Nina," he said. "Guys get jealous too, you know."

"So he had to humiliate me because he was jealous?" I asked.

"He didn't humiliate you, Nina," he said. "He was pissed off and Ashley calmed him down."

I stood up. "Why is everyone siding with Ian on this?!" I yelled. "Don't I get a little sympathy from anyone?"

"Nina," he sighed. "Calm down, calm down. Why are you being like this?"

"Because Ian made me this way, he destroyed any chance of me getting my dignity back after all the crap he said on that stupid show!" I yelled. "He obviously doesn't care about me anymore!"
