*Hey guys! Not gonna say much, because way too excited to finally almost maybe finish this story. Anyway, the title is from Tori Kelly's song. I love her. Like absolutely just love her. I cannot. Hope you guys like this and I hope you continue reading. Love you all like the beautiful things in this world (i.e. pizza, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, NIan, typography doodles, Ed's, Tori's, and Sam's voices, pizza)! Also, heads up, this chapter is going to be pretty long, because Nina would be saying goodbye to all her high school friends. There will also be another goodbye that made me cry a bit. Also, this is just going to include NINA'S POV. It's a really long chapter. I thought I could bring them back to LA already, but apparently I cannot. I need this chapter and the one after it. In chapter 61 they'll be back in LA. I promise. Enough semi-spoilers. Hope you read until the end <3*
Nina's POV
It took quite a bit of time before Ian and I made it to Dana and Dean's wedding. It took almost fifty-seven swipes of concealer to cover up that damn hickey. We were about fifteen minutes late, but we made it right before the bridal car pulled up in front of the church. Ian and I made our way to the doorway, where all my friends were. Sienna, Irina, Farrah, and Clara were all in pastel colored dresses, just as I was. Ryan, Shawn, Corbin, and Bolton were all in black suits with pastel colored flowers on their lapels. Ian was in a black suit as well.
We all said hello to them, seeing as they were all bridesmaids and groomsmen. Drew, Dana's younger sister, was her maid of honor, while Harry, Dean's college roommate, was his best man. As Ian and I were about to step inside to sit with the other guests, Sienna pulled my hand back, as she was on her phone.
"Really?" I snapped. "Your friend is about to get married and you're on the phone?"
"That friend is the one calling me," she said. She handed me the phone and said, "She wants to talk to you."
I took the phone from her and said, "Hello?"
"Hey Neens, it's Dana," she said. "You honestly don't think that I would let you sit in the audience too, right?"
"Well, sweetie, I thought we were okay with this?" I said. "I thought I was already invited to attend your wedding."
"That's not what I was talking about," she said. "I can't have you as just a guest at my wedding. I need you to be a part of my entourage. Ian, too."
"Dana, you cannot be serious," I said.
"Nina, what the hell-." she said, the line sounding muffled.
"NINA!"
All of us turned around to see Dana's head popped out from her bridal car. "Sienna, get her flowers!" she yelled. "Corbin! Get Ian a boutonnière!"
I gestured Dana to take her phone. She placed the phone close to her ear. "Get back inside the car, you'll ruin your grand entrance."
"Fine, but you have to be walking into my wedding," she said. "You're dressed for it."
She blew me a kiss, got back into the car, and ended the call. As soon as I turned around, Sienna handed me a bouquet and Ian was standing next to me with a boutonnière on his suit.
Then the music played.
It was like a whirlwind of everything a fairytale could be, because Ian and I were now saying our goodbyes to them, the ceremony finished and the reception almost done. We stayed until we could see them drive off in their Just Married car.
Dana's parents, however, did not want anyone to say goodbye yet, considering that they still had cocktails being served by the hundreds. It was hard to say no to them, because they were very much not ready for Dana to leave their home. It was the least we could do as her friends.
