Nina's POV

"Babe! What's gonna happen tonight?" Ian yelled loudly, his words muffled by the shower. He says showers are a must every six hours. "I mean, is there anything special that's going to happen?"

I laughed as I played with his iPhone, playing different songs loudly. "Yes babe, there is something special happening tonight!"

"Really?" he yelled back. "What is it?"

Before I answered, I grabbed my phone and sent a song to Ian's phone, setting it as his ring tone for any call. I set his phone back down and heard him ask, "Babe?"

"WE'RE FINALLY GETTING MARRIED!" I yelled, trying to keep my voice as honest as possible. I inwardly laughed and waited for him to respond.

Then, the rustle of the shower was cut off abruptly and I could hear Ian shuffling to get out and put on his towel. I heard the bathroom door open and Ian running towards me. He stopped a few feet away from the bed and watched as I stared at him.

His towel was hanging from his hips in a way only Ian can look hot in. "What did you just say?"

"I said we're finally going to get dairy," I sighed. "You know, like milk, cheese, butter? Oh and yogurt, yogurt. Yeah, dairy!"

His face changed to a confused expression and he sighed. He crossed his arms over his bare chest and stared at me irritably. "And why would that be special? You always have dairy at your house. I can't remember the last time I've been there without your fridge being stocked with chocolate-flavored milk, cheddar cheese blocks, non-fat butter and chocolate-pudding-flavored yogurt."

I bit my lip and shrugged. "That's what I said."

He narrowed his eyes more and cocked his head to the side. "That's not what I heard you say."

"Is that why you came out here in such a rush?" I asked, pointing to his oufit.

"Yes," he sighed, rubbing the back of his head. He turned around and made his way back to the bath room, muttering something like, "Cruel, cruel little minx."

I laughed out loud and bent over, clutching my stomach. Ian's head snapped back so fast, I couldn't imagine that that didn't hurt. "Are you laughing at me?" he asked, turning around to face me.

I tried to collect myself and ran my hand through my hair. I cleared my throat and shook my head. "Absolutely not, Mr. Somerhalder," I said. "Who would laugh at you?"

He narrowed his eyes, and with two quick strides, launched himself on the bed to straddle me, just like he did in front of the elevator.

"You're wet," I muttered in a disgusted tone.

"And you're cruel," he sighed, bending over to kiss me on the lips. "You don't make declarations like that while I'm in the shower."

"Declarations about dairy?" I asked, trying to put on my best confused face. "I'm sorry? I won't do it again."

"Nina, you know what I mean," he sighed. "I heard you perfectly clear."

I sighed and looked at him. "I'm sorry babe," I sighed. "I just thought it would be funny."

"It was a really mean joke, babe," he sighed, leaning down to kiss me on the shoulder. "You know that it's something I'd never joke about."

Before I could answer, Ian got up and made his way back to the bathroom, not closing the door behind him.
