Nina's POV
At about 4:00 PM
I looked around the room, stuffing chargers and make-up bottles in my purse. I knew I shouldn't have brought this much stuff. Ian was done packing, but only because I helped him. He was hopeless with his own luggage. I, on the other hand, would've finished sooner if Ian didn't keep on grabbing me to kiss me every second or two.
I blushed at the thought and made my way to the bathroom. Suddenly, I heard Drake's (well, I know him as Aubrey) voice crooning "Best I Ever Had" from somewhere. That's when I realized that that was my current call ring tone.
I made my way to my room, looking around the place for Ian. He was nowhere to be found right now.
Or, perhaps he was just in the bathroom, washing off the lipstick stains I scattered all over his skin. He couldn't go down looking like that.
I grabbed my phone from the side table, just to see an unknown caller ID calling. Maybe it was someone calling from a different number.
"Hello, who is this please?" I asked, pulling my hair up in a knot.
"Your voice is still as gorgeous as ever."
I felt my stomach drop and my heart pound, just hearing his voice. I swallowed hard and thought hard about ending the call.
"What do you want?" I asked, trying to sound as tough and bitchy as I could. I was desperately failing.
"You."
Shivers ran through my skin as he said that. "No, go to hell," I snapped. I wanted to end the call, NEEDED to end the call. But something about hearing him say everything he did, made me want to keep hanging onto the call.
"Come on, Neens," he sighed. "I was just playing. I just wanted to check if you're alright."
"Like you care," I snapped. "Can you just leave me alone, Derek?"
"Of course not, Nina," he laughed. "Do you honestly think I would leave you alone after everything you put me through? Ha, no way."
"Now I know you're crazy," I sighed. "Only an idiot will stick around after everything I did. You know that."
"Hey, no need to insult Ian now," he laughed again. "He's not an idiot."
"I didn't mean Ian, Derek," I snapped. "I meant you."
"Oh, I know, " he said. "But then again, you did say only an idiot will stick around after everything you did. You did most of the bullshit to Ian and he's still there. So, that makes him what?"
"That makes him the love of my life," I said.
"And it makes me a creepy, psycho stalker freak?" he sighed.
"I never said anything," I said. "You came up with that on your own."
"Oh Nina," he said. "I really love it when you get feisty with me. It's sexy."
I breathed in and out, trying to find the perfect comeback. "That's it," I snapped. "I'm hanging up."
"No you won't," he sighed.
