Clive and Sebastiano's Wedding

The morning

Nina's POV

"Well, I have my Doctor's appointment this morning," I sighed, rolling out of bed. Before I could even make my way out of it, I was pulled back by the waist. "Hey!"

"Nooo," Ian sighed, pressing me up against him. I had my back pressed up against his chest and he had his legs splayed across mine. He placed his lips right on my shoulder and sighed. "You stay here with me." He wrapped his arms around my tummy and kissed my shoulder. "Always stay here with me."

I leaned my head back and held onto his arms. "I want to," I said. "But that result isn't final, Ian. I need to have it checked out." I turned around to face him and almost backed away because his blue eyes were too bright. I placed my hand on one side of his face and ran my thumb up and down his cheeks.

He leaned in to kiss my wrist and blew out another sigh. "Aren't you happy with the result, baby?" he asked. "Well, the results?"

I took that test seven times with seven different brands.

All of them came out the same.

Pink, two stripes, a plus sign.

Pregnant.

God knows I didn't have to take all seven of them.

I just didn't feel like it was the right time to happen.

Even if it was what Ian wanted for so long.

I shrugged, trailing my thumb across his lips. "I don't know," I said. He visibly froze and frowned and I shook my head. "And I know that that's not what you want to hear, because you've waited for this for so long but I can't-."

He pulled my face close to his and kissed me to shut me up. I kissed him back and ended up breaking away after a while. "I don't care," he said, resting his lips on mine. "If you need to have it rechecked or verified, I'll be right there for you."

"And if it ends up not being what you want?"

He shook his head and kissed the tip of my nose. He reached out and pulled me closer to him, tucking my head under his chin. "You're who I want," he said. "Nothing or no one else. Just you."

I looked up at him and wrapped my arms around his torso tightly. I leaned my head against his shoulder and closed my eyes. "Will you come with me?"

His eyes lit up and he smiled. "To your doctor's appointment?"

"No, to get some low-fat yogurt. YES, to my doctor's appointment," I said.

"Sarcasm does not become you, you know," he said, running his hands up and down my hair. "Can I point something out though?"

"Mmhm," I whispered, nuzzling in closer to his chest.

"For someone who could be pregnant, you lost weight," he said, frowning. He moved some hair away from my face and trailed his hands down to my waist. "I'm concerned."

I shrugged and looked away. "Eating without you around messed with my head," I whispered, locking my fingers between his. "It was mostly just water, sad movies, and watching Derek take his meds and eat gross hospital food."

He glared at me and shook his head. "I really can't be mad at you for that, I suppose," he said. "It would be hypocritical, because the last meal I had was probably one in Canada."

I bit my lip and ran my hands up and down his arm. "We don't work well apart," I said. "We never did."

He shrugged and wrapped his leg around mine. "Well, we're pretty much crap when we aren't together," he said. "Honestly, we're like dog shit awful when we're apart."
