Brothers Best Friend - Zach Herron

Chapter 15

(Y/NS POV)//3RD JULY 2020//

I'm not gonna lie the last few weeks have been a dream. I've been able to keep Zach and Liam separate but enjoy both of their company. Liam doesn't like me hugging out with Zach and Zach feels the same with Liam. Liam is starting to feel distant but I'm pretending it's normal. Zach and I are getting super close. He teaches me to drive every weekend, and it's starting to pay off.

Today we pull up to a car yard.

"Time to find your dream car." Zach says to me as we look around.

"I don't know, these all seem super expensive." I gulp.

"It's for your birthday stupid, I'll tell everyone which one you want." He says giving me a smile.

We start to look around and I sit in many cars.

"Wow." I smile at a car.

"You like that one?" Zach asks as he points to it.

I smile, nodding my head.

"Sorry, no one makes that anymore, getting it will be super difficult and a lot of money." A car salesman says.

"I'm sure I can find it." Zach says to the man.

"What are you her brother?" The man laughs.

"Something like that." Zach smiles to me.

I smile back.

"Oh if you say so, how about something like this?" He says pointing to a super dulled up super car.

"Umm, I don't know." I say.

"Oh come on, the latest technology." The man says. "Just sit in it."

I sit in the car, and I hated it. I give Zach a look.

"Nah, it's not you." He says helping me out of the car. "That car is you."

He points back to the other one.

"But this one is way better for its price." The car salesman laughs.

Zach gives the man a look before getting my hand.

"We are leaving." Zach says.

We get back in his car.

"I hate car salesman." He says.

"Who doesn't? That car was so done up." I say.

"I like the one you choose." Zach say smiling.

"But he said it was hard to get now." I say to him.

"He was just saying it." Zach laughs.

We talk to entire way back to my place.

//4TH JULY//

We are having a massive party at the beach for Fourth of July. So many of our friends are coming and I can't wait to see them all. We get to the beach first and I see Liam. I don't know how today was gonna go with Liam and Zach.

I take my phone and decided to call the person I thought I could count on more.

"Hello Y/N, you missing me already?" Zach laughs.

"Zach, this is a serious call." I say sternly.

His laughing stops.

"Why?" He sounded confused.

"You are to be super nice today with Liam okay?" I say sternly.

He doesn't reply.

"Zach please, I know you don't like him but if you're nice then I won't have to worry about anything happening." I say more softly.

It takes a minute.

"I'll play nice with him. As long as he doesn't start anything." He says sternly this time.

"He won't." I say quickly.

"Okay, I'm almost there." He says.

"Thank you Zach." I say with a small smile.

"You welcome." He says in a funny tone making me giggle.

We say goodbye and hang up.

//2 HOURS LATER//

Everyone was having a fantastic time. Zach and Liam where playing nice, thank god. Lillian and I decide to go for a swim so we go put our swimmers on. I came out and Liam walked up to me. He grabbed my ass making me jump.

"Jez, stop." I laugh awkwardly.

"Oh come on babe, you look fantastic." He says softly.

He breathed into my ear making me cringe. I push him away quickly.

"Liam stop." I say to him.

"Your no fun." He rolls his eyes and walks off.

I look over and see Zach eyeing off Liam. I shake my head at him and he turns back to Kay.

Lillian and I are swimming around when I feel super faint.

"Y/N you good?" Lillian asks.

I start to get super teary.

"What's wrong?" Lillian asks panicking.

"I can't feel my arms, and I feel really light headed." I say to her.

"DANIEL!" Lillian yells out.

Everyone looks over to us and Lillian helps me out of the water. Zach and my brothers come running over to us.

"What's wrong?" Daniel says picking me up.

"I can't feel my arms. I'm really light headed." I say to him.

"Okay come on, let's lay you down." Daniel says.

They lay a towel for me down in the shade and lay me down. Most people were surrounding me but Liam wasn't.

"Where's Liam?" I ask.

"We don't know." Jonah says softly.

"That's not a priority." Zach says sternly to me.

I lay my head back down and take deep breaths.

"Can you feel your arms yet?" Katie asks.

"No." I say.

"Your legs?" Christian asks.

"No." I start to cry again.

"No, honey, don't cry. It'll be okay." Lillian says.

I start to feel super heavy and tired.

"Y/N keep your eyes open." Tyler says sitting me up.

My head falls back and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I fainted.
