(Y/NS POV)//27th SEPTEMBER 2020//

Today was my last day with the Herron's. Zach's having a psychical check with a doctor which the boys took him too. Hopefully he shouldn't be on bed rest anymore. His ribs and knee aren't hurting anymore but his shoulder is. I had everything packed up from a week with them. The other night Zach and I almost kissed and I couldn't get it off my mind. What if we actually did? What would that be like?

I walk downstairs about to Reese some lunch when the door opens.

"Here he is!" Jack yells.

"Hello." Zach says standing up with nothing but a sling for his arm.

"All good?" I ask.

"All good." He smiles at me.

"Are you making lunch?" Jack says shifting over to me.

"I am, would you like some?" I ask him.

"I would love some." He smiles.

I laugh at him and Zach sits down at the counter.

"Jack can you go and get Reese and Ryan?" I ask him.

"Okay!" He runs up the stairs to get the others.

I turn to Zach.

"So you are all fine now?" I ask him.

"I'm perfectly fine, my shoulder needs a few more days and I'll be fully recovered." He smiles at me.

We share a smile before his phone rings. His conversation seemed to frustrate him and I kept hearing Randy and Kay's name.

After about 5 minutes his hangs up and throws his phone on the bench.

"Zach is everything okay?" I ask him.

The others come downstairs and Jack looks at Zach.

"Dude what's up?" Jack asks.

"You know the thing I told you about earlier?" Zach asks Jack.

"Yeah, what about it?" He replies.

"Randy's not budging. His saying I signed a contract and that's what happening." Zach says.

He looked super disappointed.

"Oh man, are you serious? You signed that when you were like 15." Jack says throwing his hands in the air.

"You didn't get a choice." Jack shakes his head.

"What?" I ask.

"Don't worry." Zach says looking to the ground.

We all eat Lunch but I can tell something was wrong. Zach should be happy right now but he wasn't.

//THAT AFTERNOON//

I had everything ready to go in my car. Reese and Ryan are waiting outside while I go and see Zach. I knock on his door.

"Come in." He says.

I open the door.

"I'm gonna get going now, your parents are almost home." I say to him.

He stands up from his bed and walks over to me.

"Thank you for all your help, I couldn't have done it without you." He says putting his okay arm around me.

I wrap mine around his waist.

"Your welcome." I smile.

"Can you tell me what that contract you we're talking about meant?" I ask him.

He takes a deep breath.

"When the band started we got a contract with everything we were and weren't allowed to do. We all had to sign it but none of us actually read it." He sighs.

"So I can't break up with Kay until Randy says I can." He closes his eyes in frustration.

"I'm sure you'll figure something out." I smile at him.

"Let's hope so." He says down at me.

"Come on I'll walk you out." He says as we pull away.

We both walk downstairs and I hug the kids at the front door.

"See ya bestie." I hug Ryan.

"I'll miss your cooking." He says.

"I'm sure you will." I laugh.

"Bye sweetie." I say hugging Reese.

"I'll miss you." Reese says with tears in her eyes.

"Hey, hey don't cry, I'll see you soon." I laugh hugging her tighter.

"You promise me?" She cries.

"I promise you." I smile.

She latches in to Ryan and I stand up.

"See ya Seavey." Zach smiles.

"Bye, don't try and get yourself killed again." I say to him smiling.

"I'll try." He laughs.

We both laugh before I get into my car and drive home.

//HOME//

I walk through through the door and my mom wraps her arms around me tightly.

"Hey kiddo!" She smiles.

'Hey mom." I smile.

"How are you?" She asks.

"I'm good." I smile. "How are you?"

"I'm good. Did you have fun?" She asks.

"Yeah." I smile.

"Good. Myta says she's owes you one." My mom laughs.

"No she doesn't, I love Reese." I smile.

"What about Ryan and Zach?" She says to me as we walk into the kitchen.

"Barely heard from them." I say.

It was a lie, I ate Lunch with Zach everyday and Ryan always helped me clean up.

"Oh really?" My mom laughs.

"Yeah I mean I cooked for them but besides that Ryan was on Zach duty." I smile.

"Oh I bet Ryan would have loved being Zach's slave." She laughs.

I laugh too.

"Yeah he did complain a lot." I say.

"Well I'm glad you had fun." She smiles.
