ALWAYS & FOREVER

CHAPTER 17

Meera's POV

We were at the mall for more than 4hrs. Alia is an obsessive shopper, and I was exhausted but we had fun. We return home and find Nikhil parking his car. Alia gets Nikhil to carry all the bags while I carry Reyansh .  We enter the house and I place Reyansh on the couch. Nikhil, Abhi and Alia are talking , I excuse myself and head up to my room. 

After about 30mins Alia bursts in and says,

"I have a big test tomorrow and I don't know anything, can you pls help me?", she asks holding up a huge book.

"Ok, sure. What is the test on?"

"The entire cardiovascular system ", she says. 

"And how much do you know of these", I ask hoping she knows a little at least .

"Nothing at all", she says and I look at her in horror. She wants to complete all this in one night.

"Well then , we better get started", I say cracking my knuckles for a dramatic effect.

"Yay, you are the best", she says while hugging me. I open up her books and start explaining the first topic, while she listens intently.

It's 9pm now and we have do this for 4hrs straight. All the books and notes are strewn all over the room and currently we are sitting on the propped against the foot of the bed. Alia lets out a yawn.

"We cant sleep now, we haven't completed even half of it", I say.

"Ok, but can we take a small break, I'm hungry", Alia says  and as if on cue Sarla aunty enters with 2 bowls of noodles and cups of coffee.

"Thank you so much aunty , we needed this", I say gladly accepting the food and coffee.

"Koi baat nahi, I just thought to give this to you girls before leaving", saying this aunty leaves.

Both of us take a break to eat . Energized after the meal, we begin again . Alia is really smart and understands everything very easily.

It is a little after 3 am , and the last thing I remember is asking some potential questions before darkness engulfs me.

Abhimanyu's POV  

Alia has gone to Meera's room to study and Nikhil also has left. I finish my remaining work and have dinner. I'm about to enter my room when I see that the door to Meera's room is ajar. I slightly push is open and find both of them sitting on the floor with books and papers scattered all around. Meera is explaining something to Alia while she is listening intently. They are so engrossed that they don't even notice me. I close the door and go to my room and sleep.  

I wake up at 5 the next morning and go to the gym on the second floor. After I finish my workout I make my way towards my room. On the way I notice that the light to Meera's room is still on. I open the door to find both of them fast asleep in an uncomfortable position with books and notes still scattered everywhere. They both are propped against the bed. 

I enter the room and wake Alia up. Its 6.30,now and as far as I know , she has to reach college by 7.30. I shake Alia trying to wake her up. She mumbles something incoherent and puts her arm around Meera snuggling into her. I sigh and shake them both awake a little harder this time . Both of them wake up with a start.

"What's the time ", Alia asks while Meera is rubbing her eyes sleepily. She looks cute. Eh, no.

"Its 6.30", I reply and Alia's eyes widen.
