As you try to walk away you feel Kuroo's hand form a tight grip on your wrist, closing your eyes tightly you turn around and reopen them, looking firmly into his eyes. You could see the desperation, he wanted you to believe him so bad, but something inside of you told you this wasn't the whole story, but what if it is? You didn't know anymore.

And Kuroo understood you.

He understood why you were so hesitant to believe him, besides everything, this relationship started based on lies. None of his feelings were supposed to happen in the first place. He wanted you to believe him, but he knew it was going to take a long time for you to trust him again, however, he wanted to prove himself to you. He wanted to prove just how much he loves you, so, he wasn't going to give you up this easily.

The reason why your friendship started was a lie, the entire first interaction was solely with the purpose of prosecuting this whole bet he and Gin had going on. It wasn't weird of you not to believe him. It wasn't weird you were so upset with him and didn't flatly believe everything he was saying. He didn't expect you to, he never would.

The only thing he wanted was for you to give him a second chance. And he'd do right this time. No more lies, no more bet's, just him and his love for you. He'd do anything at this point. His feelings for you were so strong he knew he had to fight for you because if he didn't, he'd blatantly lose you and he couldn't let that happen. Not after he fell in love this hard.

''I don't expect you to believe me-''

''Good. Because I don't. How am I supposed to know this is not another part of this stupid bet?''

''What?''

''Yes. You're supposed to break my heart right? Well done, you've got that part perfectly done. Maybe right now you have to act to be still in love with me— or maybe you've done something wrong in the bet and-''

''You know you're just making things up now, shorty. Please, trust me.''

''How am I supposed to do that, Kuroo?'' your voice was shaking, both in anger and sadness, ''I feel like you lied about everything at this point. Why didn't you tell me when I gave you the chance? Why did you wait?''

''I wasn't ready to tell you because... of this. I didn't want this to happen. I'm going to lose you.''
