Chapter 2: The annoying neighbor

Lily's Pov???

Three years had gone by in a matter of time, and a lot of things happened. I didn't know where we used to live except the fact that it's in the deepest part of a forest.

I am usually awoken by a maid or sometimes mother. You'd feel the fresh feeling of chilly air and be greeted by the chirping of wild birds. Wake up, freshen up, eat, study and play then go to bed before 9, and repeat for the rest of my life.
I hope not, that would make me an incapable person as I grow up.

Knock. Knock.

Ah shit, looks like I stayed up all night again. My body is still not used to this place, the time difference really sucks.

I wanna sleep.

" kiyoko, are you awake? " Fathers voice asked from the other side of the door. He probably heard me. Man, my family is full of weird people with supernatural powers.

" Yeah, " I said quietly, hoping he wouldn't ask anymore questions.

" There's food on the table, I'm off to work. " He said, his footsteps soon got quieter and I could only murmur a soft ' take care '.

Since I didn't get to sleep, my energy was all drained up from thinking and staying awake, I stared at the wall. How fascinating. Father really painted it blue, I thought he said it was a boy's color.

Scoff. Tsundere dad.

It has only been 5 years since I was reborn in this world. I feel so relieved that there were no signs of me being a part of an anime or some crazy t.v shows, yet. Unlike other people who would want to be reincarnated in their favorite series. It's hard and I don't really want to interfere with whatever plot is gonna happen.

I've got my own mysterious problem that needs to be solved too. My life had shifted dramatically in the previous five years alone. It irritates me greatly. Something about my childhood reminds me of an anime character with a tragic backstory who goes on to become the antagonist. Haaah, this feeling is not pleasant at all.

From being Darius Lily who is always trapped inside a large house with 3 maids, a butler and a suspicious ( doting) mother who always comes home from ' work ' with the lingering smell of blood and rotten meat. To Minamoto Kiyoko who lives in a fairly large house  in Japan with her scientist tsundere father who makes cool gadgets and medicine.

Aside from that problem, I'm starting to forget details about my previous life. or maybe that was just all a dream and now I'm starting to question my own sanity.

Clank. Clank.

There's another….problem...I'm  avoiding right now.

" Oiii~! Minamoto-chan let's play! " An annoying pest has arrived. sigh.

It's only 8 in the morning for Pete's sake! Why must children have too much energy! I still haven't gotten a wink of sleep yet!

' Pretend you're asleep, you don't hear anything, absolutely nothing ' I mutter to myself like a chant, who knows, maybe I'm gonna be able to summon monsters to scare that annoying kid.
