Minamoto Kiyoko couldn't believe what she just heard. Even Haitani Ran couldn't believe it either, which was evident in his expression. Rindou never says the word please, let alone beg for forgiveness.
What in the actual fuckery is this? As far as I remember, Haitani Rindou was not this kind of character, he was a sadistic bastard who was prideful and arrogant to hide his insecurity. She recalled, pursing her lips in suspicion. Am I wrong...or... Is he, not the real Rindou?
" Kiyoko? " God, even the way he called her name sounded out of character. How could he sound so inviting and kind? Like he wasn't some kind of lunatic under that smiling facade.
I'm missing a point here. He'll leave me alone after a dance, right? She thought, exhaling a small breath and putting on her best-selling bored face.
" Just one dance, after that I'm leaving. " Kiyoko replied as Rindou visibly brightened and smiled widely at her response. Smiled not smirked.
She gives Hiroko a knowing glance, signaling for him to call Nero and tell them the situation. Her older brother only nodded in response, seamlessly disappearing among the crowd to do his work. Both of them went to the dancing hall, and as soon as they entered, holding hands, everyone's attention focused on them.
Rindo offered her his hand, which she had no choice but to accept since this was a dance. It was a good thing she wore gloves for the occasion.
There were no words spoken, it was great for Kiyoko at the moment, till the music started and they began to dance. Her hand rested on his shoulder whilst he was holding her waist securely. Oh you know, the basic posture and steps for ballroom dance, I'm certain that you know what I mean.
She's small. If I were to tighten my hold on her, would she break apart? How is she supposed to protect herself from those cousins of hers? She's not even blessed with good athletic skills. His thoughts ran wild, eyes never leaving her form while he slowly closed the distance between their bodies.
But that won't matter once we get married. I'm more than capable of protecting her from them. I can get rid of them if she wishes to, as long as she wants it.
" You look beautiful, just wanted to say since I probably never said that to you before. " Rindo complimented, earning a glare from her as he expected.
" You were in prison, of course, you wouldn't be able to say that. " She countered. He always found her sarcastic remarks pretty refreshing, other than his annoying(not really) brother, no one would usually have the guts to sass them like this.
A humourous chuckle escapes his mouth, " It wasn't fun in there. People stank and the food tasted like shit, "
Obviously, does prison look like an amusement park to you? She didn't reply, only huffing and turning her gaze somewhere else. She disliked how he thought he could get her back when they weren't even 'together' in the first place. Delusional, that's what he is.
