Third Person's POV
" My most dearest granddaughter! Your favorite granny came to visit you~!! " Kiyoko internally grimaced at her grandma's loud voice.
Sigh.
She pushed away the books that she was reading, standing up to greet her grandma. " Thank you for visiting me granny "
The old woman chuckled at her granddaughter's soft voice, giving each other warm hugs before kiyoko gestured for the couch so they could sit.
Sui placed tea cups and refreshments for them to eat as silently as possible before leaving the room. The older woman was energetic for someone her age, flowers floating around her just like during her youth. Oh how she missed those days.
" How have you been? " Chiyo, the grandma asked, a gentle smile on her lips. Kiyoko would've mistaken her for her mother if not for the age difference and appearance.
The young girl sipped on her tea " I think I'm doing great except that I'm not allowed to go out" her serene expression did not fully match her words.
Chiyo could only chuckle at how similar kiyoko is to her father " That won't do, you can't really go outside " right now because your parents are cleaning up a lot of pests that want you so badly. The old woman continued in her mind, taking a sip of her refreshment.
She sighed " I know… How about granny? How have you been? "
" I'm doing great! Your grandpa and I went out for a trip in Australia and we found a good therapist! " and we also got rid of every single marriage proposal for you!.
Kiyoko frowned " Did Grandpa's back start to hurt again? " wisps of concern were swirling in her eyes.
Chiyo smiled fondly at her, despite being neglected by her parents she still worries for them and her grandparents. What a kind child.
" Don't worry about that old man, he was playing way too much golf recently " cutting the heads of traitors in japan. The old woman can't help but be protective of Kiyoko despite not being in line for the family inheritance.
Kiyoko was just far too...unique and loveable unlike the other grandkids ( absurdly no favoritism at all ). She can't help but be proud of her intelligence and kind heart. Being in a family of Mafia, kindness and any form of positive emotions can be your weakness, therefore, you must hide it at all cost.
Kiyoko, on the other hand, resembled a blown-glass child. Someone who is fragile and delicate. As if a goblet of wisdom and kindness were poured into it. Kiyoko was a miraculous boon to purify this filthy earth because of her exceptional generosity.
But does she really resemble a glass?
Gulp.
" Uhh.. granny, Am I gonna be trapped here forever? " Her voice was soft, almost quiet. As if she was crying with overwhelming sadness.
" Not entirely, you'll be able to go out someday " soon enough though.
Kiyoko stared at her tea, watching the liquid swirl around the cup. Her fingers reached out for a cookie.
" I miss going out…. Ne obaa- san, before you leave, Lets play a game " she smiled naively at her grandma's gentle face.
