Part 11- The Aftermath 🤨

//Continued from the last paragraph of the previous part// 

Forgetting everything Ahaan's hand gently cupped Ishqi's face while she automatically closed her eyes giving him the permission he needed to proceed. Ahaan closed his eyes as well, they started moving closer, closer, and closer- Both of their heartbeats fastened, the nervousness of them both could be felt- 

Although it wasn't, but it felt right, Ahaan had never let his feelings take over but in the moment he couldn't help himself...As for Ishqi, she valued love greatly but saw Ahaan as khadoos and akru, she hadn't even noticed when she'd grown fond of him. 

They weren't sure about it being love but there was something...something special and significant in between them...He was her  Mr. Khadoos AVM while she was his bewakoof and careless ladki. 

As the gap in between them closed, their lips were a mere 2 centimeters apart- they were just about to kiss when there was a knock on the door, "Ahaan!!" the person who knocked yelled-
(sorry to those who expected them to kiss 🤪😂...but dw it'll come soon 🤭👀)

Ishqi and Ahaan shot their eyes open, they sat up and gazed at each other awkwardly but still disappointed their moment was ruined once again. Ishqi was sitting in his lap while his hands held her waist and hers rested on his shoulders'. 

"Ahaan! Beta tum undar ho na?" they heard from outside the door- 

"Maa?" Ahaan mumbled-

"Savitri Auntie?!" Ishqi thought-

Ahaan: Gi Maa, aapko koi kaam tha? he yelled out while Ishqi facepalmed herself- "AVM!! Yeh aap kya kar rahe hai?! Savitri Auntie ne humein ek saath aise dekh liya toh woh kya sooche gi?!!" Ishqi whispered to him-

Savitri: Ahaan tum kamra lock karke kyun baithe ho? Sonu ki sangeet hai- aur mujhe tumse kuch baat bhi karni hai- Darwaza kholo- 

Ishqi: AVM...kuch kijiye!!!! Aap darwaza nahi khol sakte...koi bahana banaiye taake mein yahan se nikalon kissi ke dekhe bina!!!

Ahaan: Mein kya karun?! 

Savitri: Ahaan? Kholo darwaza!

Ahaan: Mein nahi khol sakta! he blurted out- 

Savitri: Kyun?

Ahaan: Aab kya bolon?!!

Ishqi: Uhhh, waise toh har waqt mujhe bewakoof kehte rehte hai aur aab mere se hi pouch rahe hai?! 

Ahaan: Mein darwaza kholne jaa raha houn..

Ishqi: NAHI!! Uh A-Aap keh dijiye ke aap change kar rahe hain aur unse panch(5) minutes mein neeche aake baat karte hai-

Savitri: Ahaan? Tum jawab kyun nahi de rahe?

Ahaan: W-woh maa, aap neeche jaiye, mein change kar ke aata houn- 

Savitri: Accha theek hai- jaldi aana, Sonu aur Raj ne tum saab se kuch baat karni hai aur waise tumne Ishqi ko kahin dekha hai?

Ahaan: I-Ishqi? N-nahi toh, neeche hi hogi-

Savitri: Accha theek hai- saying this she left from there while Ahaan and Ishqi both sighed a breath of relief- 

Ishqi looked over at Ahaan who was already staring at her...the moments they'd shared a few minutes ago flashed before their eyes. Ishqi realized their proximity and with a jerk shot up from his lap. She facepalmed herself "Yeh tu kya kar rahi thi Ishqi?!!!!" she mentally said and awkwardly left from there. 

Ahaan (inner voice): WHAT THE FUDGE?!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!! Yeh mein kar kya raha tha?! Pehle I had the urge to get her away from that Aryan, phir I felt the need to clear the misunderstandings she had about Rhea and me and then we were about to kiss....Ahaan!!!! You've crossed the line, that wasn't right...but phir bhi it felt right....Do I like her? Does she like me? Oh God!!! All this so confusing?!! Filhal I should go down before anyone comes up here...

Ishqi (inner voice): ISHQI!!!! Tu na bohot stupid hai, yeh kya kar ke aayi hai...Uss khadoos AVM ke liye mere dil mein kya hai?! Oh god!!!! Itna awkward hoga na aab saab, aur upar se AVM bhi mujhe gyan deinge....But why couldn't I control my feelings?! Tu maan yah na maan tere aur AVM ke beech kuch toh hai....Does he like me though? Do I like him?! I don't know!!! Ughhh, why do feelings have to be soooo confusing?!

Ishqi came down the stairs while Ahaan followed behind her, they both had a shade of blush that covered their cheeks, it went unnoticed by everyone except Savitri, Kartik, and Tara. 

All three of them smiled, they were now 100% sure that these two definitely had something brewing in between them. "Lagta hai bhai ne mouke par choka mar hi diya" Kartik smirked while he muttered to himself- 

The rest of the sangeet function went smoothly, all the dance performances were performed amazingly and the time passed wonderfully...but for Ishqi and Ahaan there was confusion, they both avoided each other the rest of the event due to the awkwardness they felt cuz of what they'd done a few moments back. 

Kartik went up to Tara and whispered to her, "Tara, bhai aur Ishqi ko dekho, pehle ek dusre ki taraf attract hote the and aab repel horahe hai...upar kuch toh hua hai..."

"Di ko mein acche se jaanti houn and unki shakal dekh ke saaf pata chal raha hai ke Ahaan bhaiyya aur unke beech...something toh zaaroor happened."  Tara whispered back to him-

Kartik: Hmm, but joh bhi hua hai, we need to make sure inko realize ho ke they have feelings for each other...before it's too late-

"Hmmm" she agreed- 

Fast Forward:
Meanwhile, Raj and Sonu announce that since tomorrow is the haldi/wedding, they'll be throwing a party for all the youngsters tonight. Everyone gets excited and agrees to come. At around 6pm the guests leave the Malhotra mansion, all the youngsters go to their respective houses, get ready and then meet at the XYZ party club.
