Chapter 21

We get to the location and go in undetected. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Nat stayed with me the whole time to make sure I was okay. There was a moment where I got hit in the face, reopening the cut on my lip, but apart from that I was fine and we got out undetected.

When we were back on the quinjet, Nat cleaned up my lip so it wouldn't get infected.
"Thanks Tasha." I say as she sits next to me.
"You're welcome котенок." She says, kissing my forehead. I lay my head on her shoulder and close my eyes.

Natasha POV:
I get a message on my phone from the jewellery shop to say that my order was ready for pickup. I had gotten her one of those necklaces with names on, it said 'Y/N/N'. It was rose gold. I had also gotten her a blanket as she gets cold at night, and a book because she likes to read. I also got a basketball signed by the New York Liberty team as she always loved to watch their games. I decide that when we got back, I would let Y/N sleep and go and pick it up. I got Clint to hide the stuff in his room so she wouldn't find them.

We get back and I carry Y/N into our room and place her down on our bed. I plant a kiss on her head before going to leave.
"Tasha, where are you going?" She asks, pretty much asleep still.
"I'm going out, I'll be back in an hour or two, go back to sleep baby." I say before leaving.

I get the necklace then head to the store and get some snacks for me and Y/N. I get back to see her still asleep and I sit next to her and go on my phone for a bit. I gave Clint the necklace to keep safe.

Y/N POV:
I wake up to feel Nat stroking my hair.
"Hey, you wanna watch some movies?" She asks, noticing I was awake.
"Christmas movies?" I ask excitedly.
"Of course, what do you wanna watch?" She asks. I remember that I have to pick up Nat's present. Shit.
"Uh.. the grinch? Give me 5 minutes to go do something, I'll be back in a sec babe." I say as I climb over her, kissing her before I leave.

I quickly walk over to Wanda and Carol's room.
"Hey, can I ask you guys a favour?" I ask.
"Sure, what is it?" Carol asks.
"Can one of you guys go to town and get Nat's present? I would go, but we're gonna watch some movies." I say.
"Okay.. but I want $20 so I can get some food." Carol says.
"Deal." I say. I grab $20 from my pocket and hand it to her. I always like to be prepared and frequently end up giving Carol and Wanda money here and there, same with them.

I head back to me and Nat's room and lay down with her.
"Everything good котенок?" She asks.
"Yeah." I reply, hugging into her side and she turns on the movie. She had a bowl of popcorn set up and the lights off for a perfect set up. I take a second to take in my surroundings. I look back at Nat and kiss her as a thank you.

After a few hours of binge watching christmas movies, we end up falling asleep. I really love this woman.

I wake up the next day and head out for a run since I hadn't been on one in a while. I write a note for Nat in case she wakes up whilst I'm gone.

Went out for a run, I'll be back at around 7:30am. Love you

I head out for my run and get some coffee on the way back. I started walking out of the shop when I saw Alec. Shit. I try to avoid him.
"Y/N!" He calls out.
"Alec! Shit, I'm so sorry I haven't texted, the last few days have been hectic to say the least." I say.
"It's fine. Call me when you get home? You seem busy." He says, hinting to the coffee.
"Right, yeah. I should probably get back." I say.
"I'll see you soon. Love you." He says.
"Yeah, bye. Love you too." I reply, walking off.

I make it back to the compound at 7:24. I get to me and Nat's room and see her awake.
"Morning babe." I say as I walk in. I give her the coffee I bought.
"Thank you котенок." She says as she grabs the coffee from me. I sit next to her, drinking mine.
"I saw Alec. He told me to call him.." I explain.
"I spoke to Nick and he told me to tell you to set up a meeting somewhere private. His house maybe? It can't be here, he'll know." She says.
"I guess, he normally stays with my dad and mom though. There's this place downtown where we used to go when we were kids. It's an abandoned building, no one else knows it's there. I don't think anyway." I say.
"Is it stable?" She questions.
"I guess so." I answer.
"Okay, you should call him." Nat says. I get out my phone and dial his number. It rings for a moment and then Alec picks up.
"Hey." He says.
"Hey Al, do you wanna meet.. Tomorrow maybe? At that place downtown, where we used to go when we were kids." I ask.
"Yeah that sounds nice, what time?" He asks.
"Uh.. 1pm work for you?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'll see you then." He says before hanging up.
"I feel like I'm betraying him." I admit to Nat. "Like I know he's bad, and it's a good thing.. But
he's my brother." I say, avoiding eye contact with Nat.
"It's normal to feel like that котенок, you've grown up with him, but it is for the best. If it's too much for you, you can take a step back. I don't want you feeling uncomfortable." Nat says, holding my hand.
"It's fine, I want to do this." I say, smiling reassuringly.
"Okay детка." She says.

The rest of the day goes by pretty chill, I end up watching movies with the rest of the team before going to a meeting with Nat and Nick Fury. The mission was pretty chill, pretty much just a briefing on what to do tomorrow.
