Chapter 36

The game is going well right now. Nat passes me the ball and I get a swish. We're up by a few points. I was halfway down the courts before being hit in the face by the ball. It came at me with power and hurt like a mother fucker.
"Fuck." I say as I fall to the floor.
"Who the hell threw that?" Nat asks as she helps me up. My nose is bleeding. Great. Blood is dripping down me and going onto my shirt. I really like this shirt.
"Steve's team had it." Clint says.
"ты в порядке? (ty v poryadke? - Are you okay?)" Nat asks as she wipes some blood away.
"Да, я в порядке. (da, ya v poryadke - Yes, I'm fine)" I say. Nat takes my hand and takes me out of the courts. She takes me to the toilets.

"Wait there." She says. She goes into a stall and gets some tissue. I sit on the edge of the counter,
"This is a lot of blood." I say with a laugh.
"I bet it was Bruce." She says as she holds the tissue up to my nose.
"Huh?" I ask.
"I think it was Bruce who threw it." She says as she applies pressure to my nose.
"Ow." I say.
"Sorry котенок." She says.
"It's okay.. Why would Bruce do that though?" I ask.
"Why wouldn't he? He doesn't like you." She says.
"Rude." I say sarcastically. Nat smiles a little. She kisses me on the forehead then checks to see if my nose has stopped bleeding. It has.
"Do you wanna finish playing or go back to the cabin?" Nat asks.
"Finish playing. I don't back down." I say with a smile.
"Come on then." She says as she helps me off the counter.

"You okay?" Wanda asks as we get back.
"Yeah. Did we miss anything?" I ask.
"Your team is up by 6 points now." Carol says.
"Hah, you're going down Danvers." I say.

My team win the game, but my nose still hurts.
"So, rematch?" Steve asks.
"We already won fair and square Steve." Tony says. I sit with Nat on the sidelines whilst drinking a sports drink.
"But best out of three?" Steve says.
"Not gonna happen." Tony says.
"Fine. What are we doing for the rest of the day?" Steve asks.
"We could go out for lunch." Wanda suggests.
"Yeah, there's this nice restaurant down the road." Clint says.

I get up with Nat and we go into the car with Wanda, Carol and Tony.
"Guess you didn't cheat but you're still a traitor." Me, Carol and Wanda sing. We earn gazes from Nat and Tony, but it's fun.
"Stop looking at me like that or you're sleeping alone tonight." I say.
"You would come back in the middle of the night because you'd be too cold." She says.
"Not true." I say as I look out the window.

We get to the restaurant and sit down. I sit next to Nat and Wanda.
"This food looks good, but I'd rather eat you." Nat whispers into my ear.
"I wish you would." I reply.

We eat then go back and watch movies for the rest of the day. At 11pm, I go up to my room with Nat. We get changed into comfortable clothes.
"How is your nose?" Nat asks after finishing brushing her teeth.
"It's fine." I say as I lay down onto our bed."You sure?" She asks as she joins me."Yeah. It'll bruise badly though, I'm not looking forward to that." I say."What are we gonna do about Bruce?" she asks as I hug into her side. She places her arm around me and pulls me into her.
"Nothing." I say. "I mean, it's not worth it and there's nothing we can really do." I say.
"He hurt you. It was fine before when he didn't come near us, but he physically hurt you." She says.
"Yeah, and I'm fine Tasha. And we don't even know if it was him." I say.
"It probably was. Someone has to know and they're not saying anything. I mean the whole concept of the game is keeping your eye on the ball." Nat says.
"It's whatever. I'm not too bothered." I say.
"But I am. He hurt you and I can't even do anything about it." She says.
"Stop being so overprotective." I say sarcastically with a laugh.
"Whatever, let's go to sleep. We can talk about this in the morning." She says as she places a kiss on my forehead and turns off the bedside lamp.

A/N: I'm aware this story has become kinda boring, sorry.
