THE YEAR 845. AT THE HANDS OF THE COLOSSAL Titan and Armored Titan, who appeared out of thin air, the ordinary lives of humans were reduced to rubble along with Wall Maria. Mankind had abandoned Wall Maria, losing one-fifth of their population and one-third of their territory, pushing their outermost border back to Wall Rose.
However, not all mankind has given in to the titans. The city guards continue to work on strengthening the walls. Many of the younger generations are working toward becoming soldiers by training in the art of killing titans.
It was at this time that... In the Trost District, the elite of the Reconnaissance Battalion were preparing to set foot in the titan territory once more.
