"Hey, you must be Brittany." A girl with copper brown hair and brown eyes smiled at me as soon as I stepped into the classroom of BSMM 1-A.

I gave her a shy smile and nodded. "Yes, I am." I answered and her smile widened as if she has hit a jackpot.

She eagerly pulled me to a vacant chair beside the wall at the back part of the classroom where two guys and a girl was sitting. The rest of the students were already talking with each other comfortably which amazed me because all are practically strangers.

"I am Joana, and these are my friends, Alvin, Tristan and Jewel." She began blabbering about her circle whose expressions were both friendly, welcoming and curious.

She pointed to a guy with a clean-cut look as Alvin, then to a girl with curly hair and brilliant smile as Jewel and Tristan, the punk guy with piercing on his ears.

For a moment, I was stunned at how shiny Alvin's hair is. His is shinier and smoother than the girls inside the room!

"Alam ko yang tingin na yan." Jewel laughed when she saw me almost speechless at Alvin who rolled his eyes at me. That made me raise an eyebrow, myself.

"Gaga! Walang talo-talo! Lalaki din ang bet ko, day!" Alvin exclaimed and my eyes widened in shock at his remark.

Before I could even begin to answer, our professor arrived and discussed about his subject's requirements. Two more lectures came and it was only during our one hour and thirty minute lunch break where I was able to regain my amazement.

"Okay! Ano yun? May pag-irap, besh!" I asked Alvin who sat across me at the empty table we got near the entrance of the cafeteria. I just knew at that moment earlier that our personalities will just jive and click like that

"Loka-loka! Feeling mo kagandahan ka, bakla ka! Lalake din type ko no!" Alvin scoffed and tucked a strand of hair behind his ear.

I heard chuckles as I found out that Tristan took the spot beside me. Jewel sat beside Alvin while Joana tapped his shoulder gesturing him to get a chair of his own.

"Eh di, ikaw na maganda!" I rebutted in and it was Joana who stopped the tension in the air.

"Oh sya! Pareho kayong maganda! Tigilan nyo na yan!" Joana said in between giggles as she sat beside me.

Tristan made a peace sign to the nearby table when he grabbed the monoblock beside them.

"Raulo ka talaga, Stan!" Jewel shook her head. "Mamaya wala ng upuan ang kasama nila." She glared at him as he sat and snuck an apologetic smile at the group of friends seated at the table beside us. "Sorry po!"

"You are too nice, Jew. Patapos na din naman sila oh." He remarked pointing at his back where the group of four friends started to stand and get their things.

Jewel sighed and began pulling out some bills and placing them on the table. Both Alvin and Joana did the same thing.

When all their bills are out on the table including Tristan's, all eyes were on me.

"Wh-what?" I asked bewildered.

"Get some cash out. Someone will order for us." Jewel grinned at me. I frowned and she added, "everyday, actually, the other day, we decided to  take turns on who will go to the counter to order our foods. We couldn't leave our things behind, right?"

"And, one of us cannot afford to bring all the food alone." Joana explained to me. "Therefore, two will be out there while the rest stay here. Since, you are the newest member of  the squad, you will be staying here with us as both guys— I mean, Tristan and Alvin, — go there to buy our foods. Gets?"

"Oh-kayyy..." I said both in fascination and amusement as I fished out some cash from my wallet. "Here. I'll have burger steak and pineapple juice."

Tristan nodded while he collected all our money from the table.

"Hey, Vin, let's go." He told him which the latter happily obliged. Alvin clung into his arms which he pulled it away from.

That made me laugh. They indeed look so comfortable with each other.

I am hoping I get to be included in their group. They seemed to be too transparent and nice to talk to. As if there is no dull moment with them around.

"So, how come you guys become this close?" I asked the girls as the boys went to the counters.
