Worth Is Not Found On Others But Yourself

Seeds of doubt were planted,
That's why I feel like I am not wanted.
Sense of belongingness deprived,
As their treatment of me are either forced or contrived.

For years, I tried to do everything.
To be accepted, I pleased people with anything.
Yet I still felt miserable.
It was because my approach with myself and others were incompatible.

I learned it wasn't right to find validation from people,
That it is better to focus on myself and found my own principle.
And for the past months that I've been practicing to love myself,
Nothing has never felt more freeing than knowing your own worth and finding yourself.
