My Dream

Always watching from afar,
The magnificent moves of that star,
Oh how I wish that I could be like her.
But then again, I am not allowed by my mother.
It's so frustrating,
But then again, I can't do anything.

Yet one time, I sneaked into the backstage.
It was after her ballet when she goes to change.
As I saw her, I ran into her crying.
She asked me why and I told her everything.
"You know what? Just follow your dreams and you'll shine like me."
So I believed in her for me to be free.

Every night when my mother is asleep,
I sneak into the basement and played the music that I keep.
I swirled and danced,
And it feels as though that I am in a trance.
Then one day, my mother was shocked,
Because she was invited by the star to just watch me dance and she plopped.
