That Single Night

Calling you that very night,
We enjoyed the conversation with every crisp and delight.
Sharing something out of the blue,
Was our kind of thing and we do it together as if on cue.
Discussing things about life,
and planning to get married so you can be my wife.

Then everything went dark.
Darkness was felt when the call ended leaving a mark.
Silence reigned,
and my heart thumped and it couldn't be feigned.
The rest,
It went chaotic making and leaving us as mess at the very best.

Morning came and still we weren't fixed,
It was because of our emotions getting mixed.
Then when it was afternoon,
Everything went light and the darkness dissipated faster than soon.
Our relationship is back,
But we'll never go darker than black.
