Last Flight

Sitting on the bench,
Waiting for you as I was now drench.
I couldn't care less
Because I'm already wet and I look like a mess.
Looking at the time on my watch,
I grew anxious because we've got a train to catch.

I scrambled as the phone rings,
Knowing it's you and that you have packed your things.
I was shivering as I picked it up,
Glancing about as to where you were caught up.
"I'm very sorry but I'm going with him."
The last thing I heard as my surroundings went dim.

I stood up,
Finding the railway along with my pup.
As I found where the train tracks lie,
I bid my pet a goodbye.
Then I saw a white light,
And the collision of the train with my body gave me flight.
