Separated For A Long Time

Longing for your presence,
I went outside hoping this feeling lessens.
Looking for something with any striking resemblance,
I saw something like you in that last glance.
Sighing in relief,
Sitting down lessened my grief.

A tear slidden down my face,
I wiped it yet it already left a trace.
Seeing the moon as it is,
Wanting to hold it, I caressed it like how I want to feel her face, like this.
With wide eyes, I abruptly stopped,
Making my heart skipped a beat as I was shocked.

Blinking so many times, you leaned in for a kiss.
Closing my eyes, I said to myself "this is one of those I surely miss".
Stopping because we are both out of breathe, I smiled with uncontrollable tears.
Looking at you, I am now seeing what I've been missing all this years.
Hugging you out of impulse, for the longest time, I felt secured again at this moment.
Holding you tightly, I hoped that you'll never leave me again because it left me in lament.
