Dementia

Stopping abruptly, you then, halted beside me.
Then I looked at you quizically.
You smiled just for me to see,
And I got scared frantically.
Trying to touch me on the hem of my tee,
I flinched, sweat rolling down my face unceasingly.

"Can't you see? We're married." showing your left hand with the ring.
"H-how?" I said while backing a few meters away.
Then you started sobbing.
I got speechless, because I didn't know what to say.
"I'm sorry. I should be more understanding and patient." you said while crying.
"You've got dementia. So what was the last thing you remembered?" you said while holding my hand and saw the pain in your eyes at bay.

I, then, looked the view ahead.
If what she said was true, then, I may tell her something.
"This is where Happyganda and I first met. Same as now, it was also autumn back then where leaves are falling because they're dead."
"Is this what you meant?" giving me a photo and I saw two people, holding hands in the autumn while standing.
"Yes. How did you have a copy of it?" as I ran through my memory lane in the head.
You then proceeded to kiss me and hugged me tight while trembling.
