After two and a half years of this book existing I'm finally gonna write about how these two met :D

And a bit of Germany's childhood of course So Nazi Germany and Soviet will be here too but don't worry they're nice here what could possibly go wrong in the future-

This oneshot took way too long to write, and I'm sorry for disappearing again- School's started and I think I'll be even more busy this year, so even less time for writing :(

Thank you to everyone that's still reading. All the comments and votes keep me smiling even when I'm going through a tough day of school, so I'm really grateful to every one of you kind people out there!

Also, I have a small question to ask because I'm not sure myself. Do you guys think it's okay if I continue to write Rusger ship stuff even through the current state of the world right now? I do it for our enjoyment only and don't mean to offend any political issues going on right now, but I'd like some opinion XD

I can definitely write more of them as children because it's fun and I get to develop more background for them, but also fluffy cuddling and perhaps more heated cuddling in the bedroom is to be had in my drafts, and that's fun too.

If you want RusGer shipping stuff written next, would you rather have a fluff or a smut oneshot? Either of them is fine by me so have at it-

Thank you for your opinion! Now I hope you enjoy reading!

October 7th, 1938

"Bye Peter! Bye Karl! Bye Kurt!"

"Bye Hans!!" Three of his best friends yelled back at him, making him grin wildly as he sprinted through the playgrounds of his kindergarten, his other hand holding on tight to the strap of his school bag over his shoulder.

Grass crunched underneath his shoes and the wind tousled through his hair, making the pale, colourless white locks stick up wildly. Hans giggled breathlessly as he ran as fast as he could, the rest of the world blurring around him except for the point of his destination.

"Papa!" Hans cried joyfully, clinging on to his father's legs and hugging him in greeting. Nazi Germany, his father, grinned back and patted his head. The other parents that had kept a wide berth around the man clad in black, with a pointed hat perched over his head, relaxed slightly as they realized he was also a parent waiting for his child after school had ended.

"What did you do? There's paint all over your sleeves!" Nazi laughed and squatted down in front of his son as he examined his once crisp white long sleeves that were now covered in smeared splotches of red, green, yellow, blue, orange and black. "We were painting! Ms Rita let us paint with our fingers, I drew a lot of things!!"

"Oh, really?" Hans nodded his head rapidly and grabbed his father's gloved hand as he stood up again. "I painted our house, our garden, and I drew a dog and a cat and a horse!" He chattered in German as he lead them out of the fencing surrounding the kindergarten, bouncing on his feet and eager to start their walk home, like they did every day after school.

It was perfect autumn weather, the world a colourful red, orange and yellow place of happiness. Some of his classmates were laughing as they played, leaves crunching underneath their shoes as they chased each other around, bright smiles on their faces.

"Hans, not that way today." His father interrupted softly, a small mischievous grin on his face as he gestured slightly for him to turn around and look. Hans let his mouth drop open and then moments later let out a gleeful squeal as he spotted the Volkswagen, a driver in a black suit waiting for them besides the doors. His father never used the car to pick him up from school. It was usually only used for special occasions, like when they had to go to the Reichstag for meetings.
