"Hey Germany!! Wait up!"

Germany turned around, a loud upbeat voice called from behind him. He relaxed and smiled as he saw the hyper, cheerful and very friendly America chase after him. He waved frantically at him with the thick brown textbook in his hand, his robe falling down his forearm.

"Hi Amerika!!" Germany said with his slight German accent, beaming brightly as both his hands were occupied with his own books and notes. He stopped walking and kept to the side of the hallway so they could talk, even though there was no one else around.

Other students were still in classes, but Germany had finished his work earlier than the rest of his classmates and asked to be excused earlier. He was now walking to his next class of the afternoon, until he got intercepted.

America's heart faltered at the smile that could rival a thousand suns,  and he nearly tripped dramatically. Heck this isn't a k-drama America get yourself together-

"H-Hey..!" The Gryffindor student stammered, his face a bit red as he ran up to where Germany stood neatly, his deep blue Ravenclaw robe swaying gently at his legs. It was a little too big on him, so it bunched up at his elbows and shoulders. It looked very cute-

"Are you okay? Your face is red-" Germany said, tilting his head to the side with concern, the other student had been staring at him in a daze for a good ten seconds. America shook his head and grinned sheepishly, waving his hand nonchalantly.

"No no I'm fine. Totally fine. Umm...so how are ya Ger?" America smoothed himself over, scratching the back of his neck. So much for being suave. Germany looked at him again with confusion, but answered anyway. "I'm good. Trying to study hard of course."

Well, he was. But he couldn't help it if there were distractions every other night knocking at his window or putting secret messages to met up in his notebooks. He had told him to stop, of course, but he still did it. And he could not resist the temptation.

"Well, that's great! Gonna get 100 percent again in the next exams, huh?" America grinning, bringing him back into the hallway. The bell rang, and students began to trickle out of classrooms, heading to their next classes.

"I hope so," Germany giggled. "But I didn't get 100 percent, I only had 95 for Herbology this time."

"That's still good. Oh hey listen-" America laughed, then added in a quiet voice, stepping a little closer to the smaller student, feeling bolder. He leant his forearm to the wall, next to Germany's head, and bit the left corner of his bottom lip.

Germany raised his eyebrows, confused at the sudden close approach. He had to tilt his head up to look at him, being short and all. He felt his cheeks heating up, and cursed himself mentally for it. What in magic's name was happening-
