Germany looked down, and watched as a piece of him broke off, disappearing into dust once it hit the ground. "No..." He whimpered, looking down at him again.

"G-Ger..." Russia groaned, holding on to his arm with his cracking hand, even though that increased his pain.

"I-I love you, л-любовь..."

"Nein nein nein please don't say that I- I can't-" Germany sobbed, cradling his boyfriend's upper body. Russia felt more pieces break off, each as painful as the first one, but gritted his teeth and looked back at him.

"Y-Yes you can. Do i-it for me." He growled as loudly as he could, before collapsing back into Germany's arms, letting him support his weight. He felt his energy leak out of him, and breathing became even harder. He wondered if he would suffocate first before falling completely...

"R-Russland please..." Germany held on to him, blinking away tears that blurred his vision so that he could see his love at least for as long more as he could.

Russia groaned, dropping his hand from his boyfriend's arm as the pain got too much to handle. As soon as he did, it too started to turn into dust, starting at the fingers.

"...Ger...I l-love you..."

Germany hugged him as gently as he could, pressing a kiss to his forehead, which still had a minimal amount of cracks on its surface. "I-I Love you too...liebe. I love you." He cried, shaking with sobs.

Russia exhaled one last time, feeling his torso crack into smaller pieces and his entire body turn into dust. He felt so tired, and closed his eyes into darkness.

"Nein..." Germany whispered as the body of his love, the body personification of Russia, dissolved, Fallen. As all empires or governments will one day.

He sobbed, his arms empty except now for a fine layer of dust, which he dare not move.

This was the collapse of the Russian Federation, and the dawn, of the next World War.

The recording stopped abruptly with a soft beep, and the room was silent again. A video was set to play next, But Germany turned off the phone. That video was them, singing Moskau together. That was too unbearable now, and he curled back up on the bed. The photo gallery was ever more painful to look at.

His own phone buzzed across the room, on the floor with a crack across the screen when he threw it in rage two nights ago. There was probably tons of messages and missed calls from the others, trying to get his attention.

He should probably answer them, try and prevent the war America's government was brewing. America as the countryhuman didn't want that either, but everyone was powerless to stop it from happening. Germany didn't want to see another of his friends fall either, and if war was declared, everyone would change. All they had build up, their mutual friendships and relationships, would be like it had never happened.
