You were just minding your own business, strolling through the not so busy street of this quiet neighbourhood of yours. 'The strays should be here about now...' you recalled.
Yes. You lived in the same neighbourhood as Jiwoo, and yes you did know of his habit of feeding the stray cats.
No. You were not neighbours, and neither were you friends to begin with. The both of you were just strangers who acknowledge the presence of each other in school.
Well, you weren't a loner per say... you just chose not to get yourself acquainted with other people. ( in fear of what happened )
But either way, you were fine with not having friends. You were used to it anyway.
You suddenly felt a gust of wind as something- no, someone zoom past you.

You could recognise him from anywhere. But what was Jiwoo doing in the middle of the night? Where was he going? Questions bombarded your head as you felt a migraine hit you.
All those questions and curiosity died down as soon as you realised, that it was non of your business anyway. And at that, you continued on your stroll with no thoughts about what happened.

You were walking by a few shops that had already closed for the night and out just outside was a furry creature, trying to claw its way into to store. You stared at its attempt as there was only one thing that came to your mind.

"cat..." you whispered as you pointed out to it. If anyone was still there watching the situation, they would've called for the nearest mental hospital, but that was besides the point.
The white cat seemed to have heard and turned your way. And for the next thirty or so minutes, you and the cat were just staring at each other. ( 🧍♀️________🐈 )
And just like that, was how 30 minutes had easily gone by.Your common sense seemed to have come back as you tried running back home.
