Just like the usual, you waited outside of Jiwoo's home so the both of you could walk to school together. Apparently, it had become a daily routine for the both of you.

On the way to school, it was mostly Jiwoo doing the talking while you were nodding occasionally, telling him you were being attentive.

"Huh?" The moment Jiwoo opened the door, gasped in shock. You on the other hand, had no idea what Jiwoo was so surprised about. Clueless, you might call it.

"Hey Wooin! You're coming back to school starting today?" Jiwoo called out as he walked closer to the said boy. "Are you well enough to come back to school?" Jiwoo asked once more.

The boy seemed to care more about other people than himself. "I remember that your injuries were worse than mine..." Wooin pointed out.

You followed from behind, walking up to your seat. It wasn't like Jiwoo was talking to you anyway.

"Still, it won't be so boring with you here," Jiwoo said and you heard. Okay, you weren't eavesdropping or anything. You were seated right next to Jiwoo hence giving you the advantage of listening to Jiwoo's conversation.

To say you were offended was an understatement. '...i feel like he thinks i'm boring'

"I thought we'd be the only one back at school. I wonder if Jisuk's back, too." Jiwoo pondered as he pointed at you then himself.

"I'm gonna go check if Jisuk is here since there's still time. He's in class one, right?" Jiwoo bolted out of his seat and dashed out of the class, leaving you and Wooin in an awkward silence.

The boy seemed to be in his own world, not noticing you had gotten out of your seat to go look for Jiwoo like a lost child.

As you approached Class One, you saw no sign of Jiwoo. 'where did he go? should I go find him?'

"Ms Kang! Where do you think you're going? Class is about to start," The teacher called out to you. It looks like you got caught. Well, you just hoped Jiwoo would come back in time.

You reluctantly walked back to your class as you could only pray for Jiwoo to come back. You say back in your seat, staring blankly at the board as you waited for the boy to come back.

"The school staff was so surprised. As you know I was absent for several days without notice... I seriously thought they would suspend me," Jiwoo said, making you recall whay had happened earlier.

"Hey! Jiwoo Seo! Are you okay? I went to your house when you suddenly stopped coming to school, but no one was home and no one would answer the phone. Your friend here clarified that your cat had given birth but the two of you were still absent for another 3 days.. Do you know how worried I was? I only found out later from your gaurdian that you two were in a car accident!" The teacher, or staff rambled on about how he was worried for his favourite student... oh and you too ig.
