Though, you seemed more apathetic than anyone else would have liked. What could you say? Nothing could interest you more than coming home to Hyun.
Still, the experience at the Awakened Academy seemed to have been better...thanks to your instructor that was. Because at least he gave you a chance.
"You'll be teaching us next semester too, right?" Jihye asked, hope glimmered deep in her eyes.
But then again, who else would volunteer to teach a bunch of troublesome losers if it wasn't Mr. Jang?
Gratitude, was what you would have liked to voice out...if it weren't for your...current circumstance.
Because....was it weird, that you felt a sense of security and support. Somewhat like a parental figure you never had.

You departed from the others a little later than Jiwoo, seeing that he was called by some other student, not that you wanted to know anyway.
However, you managed to catch up to the boy. Wa‐was he crying? What...happened?
You only stood a distance away, but close enough to hear whatever conversation he had going on with the principal.
"He left you behind to protect you." You heard the principal say, but just what did he mean by that?
"Kayden's definitely not a villain. But because of his recklessness, he has a lot of enemies." you heard him continue.
'so they were talking about Kayden.' you thought, only now realising the principal knew Kayden was here. Did...Kayden used his stored up powers?
Because even if he was reckless with his powers, Kayden was careful not to let anyone know of his current...situation.
"—Yes, because you're his apprentice." you tuned back into the conversation as you caught what the he had last said.
Apprentice...?
"—You're his one and only apprentice." Once again, you heard the principal say, making you frown slightly more than a second earlier.
...one and only...apprentice?
Just what was all this about? It most probably had something to do with Dusik Kang...after all, Kayden did put him on that island.
