"The awakened Academy?"

'...the what now?' you thought, staring at the woman on front of you. Did you jinxed it? Or were you a fortune teller?

"Yeah. It's a system that brings together teen awakened ones in Korea for two to three months to help build stronger bonds and teach them various skills. It's been quite awhile but it's finally being implemented." Inhyuk informed, standing next to Jiwoo as he looked over at the two of you.

"Will all teen awakened ones in Korea gather?" Jiwoo asked, curious.

"Not all of them. Since this is the first time, only the well-known groups will participate. Two or three awakened ones that represent those groups will gather."

'Then why are we here if we can't take part in it?' you looked questioningly at the two adults. Curious at to what they have in mind.

"Then does that mean I- we can't participate? We don'tbelong to any group." Jiwoo inquired, saddened by the thought.

"Don't worry about that. You will be able to participate with Shinhwa's sponsorship." Inhyuk reassured, looking at Jiwoo.

"I'm not sure... this is all too sudden. I even don't know what the Awakened Academy exactly does..." The boy expressed, scratching the back of his neck, overwhelmed by the information given.

"If you don't want to, you don't have to participate. You may do as you wish, Jiwoo. But I do believe this will be a good opportunity for both of you." This time it was Jiyoung who spoke.

"You'll have to live as an awakened one from now on. But you've only met us from Shinhwa and a few people from the Union. I believe meeting other awakened ones will be helpful for you in the future..." She continued. You only watched as the two conversed, not really having anything good to say.

'I wanna go... but I don't wanna go without Jiwoo,'

In the end, Jiwoo had asked for time to think about the offer, thanking Jiyoung for putting in effort in trying to help him, from what he said.

You silently followed Jiwoo's actions, thanking her in silence, clutching onto the boy's shirt in the mean time.

There was no need for them to ask for your answer. They knew, and you knew, that wherever Jiwoo goes, you'll follow.

During the walk back, the two teens conversed enthusiastically... Well, it was more of Jiwoo doing the talking than you. You listened to the boy attentively, occasionally nodding here and there to show that you were listening.
